12mpd on ShopperBoard with your OCBC Titanium Rewards card in October

One for the ladies, or a nice gift idea, 12mpd is hard to beat

EXPIRED This article relates to an offer or promotion which has now expired.

ShopperBoard Deal

OCBC has announced their latest bonus miles promotion for October in cooperation with online shopping app ShopperBoard, specialising in ladies clothing, bags, shoes and accessories. Between 1st October 2018 and 28th October 2018 you’ll be eligible for 30 OCBC$ (12 miles) per dollar spent.

Additional discounts

OCBC Customers can also get additional discounts of between 10% and 30% off at 10 retailers through the ShopperBoard app between 1st October 2018 and 14th October 2018, in addition to the miles bonus.

The bonus is capped at S$1,000 of total spend during the period and the additional OCBC$ will be credited to your OCBC Titanium Rewards Card account by 30th November 2018.

Annual bonus cap

The terms and conditions for this promotion do not state whether the bonus OCBC$ in this 12mpd promotion count towards the annual cap on each Titanium Rewards card, so we contacted OCBC to ask them directly.

They clarified that the bonus points do count towards the annual limit of 120,000 OCBC$ per card, so if you have already maxed out on your limit on both blue and pink cards (you can hold both) in your current card anniversary year, this offer is of no interest to you.

Further details are available at the ShopperBoard site here, with the full OCBC terms and conditions for the offer here.

  1. Hi Andrew..

Would you know.. cos I read Ts & Cs and it’s not stated.. is one eligible for this promo if his card(s) have already exceeded the $12k p.a. on each of the blue n pink cards?

Thanks and safe travels to you and Eddie..

    1. Hi Ken,

As it doesn’t mention whether this promotion is in addition to the normal annual cap I have already asked OCBC and am waiting to hear back from them. *Usually* these don’t count as part of the 10x (4mpd) bonus spending, however I’ll update here when I hear back from them.

    2. Hi Ken,

OCBC responded to me yesterday and unfortunately the bonus OCBC$ in this promotion do count towards the cap of 120,000 OCBC$ per anniversary year for this promotion. I’ve added a section to the article clarifying that.

Essentially unless they state otherwise in the terms and conditions for the promotion itself (e.g. the IKEA promotion), OCBC do include OCBC$ earned from campaigns and promotions in your annual cap. This is covered in the general card terms and conditions.

      1. Hi Andrew,

        Thanks for checking/ confirming.. sigh..

I got my two cards in April, burst the ceiling in May, and both cards have been in drawer since.. haha.. well, except for that Ikea promotion..

        Oh well..

        Thanks, again.. 🙏🏻
