DBS has launched a new miles-earning offer for Agoda hotel bookings made through the bank’s own DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace portal, with an additional 3 mpd on pre-paid bookings, hiking the usual earn rate for these transactions as high as 7 mpd with some cards.
The additional 3 mpd award is applicable for the first S$5,000 of monthly spend in this category, which is up to 15,000 bonus miles per month.
DBS Agoda 3 mpd bonus offer
DBS is offering a bonus 3 mpd on Agoda hotel bookings made via its DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace (TMP) site, when making payment with one of the following miles-earning credit cards:
- DBS Altitude Amex
- DBS Altitude Visa
- DBS Black Amex
- DBS Black Visa
- DBS Woman’s
- DBS Woman’s World
- DBS Treasures Black Elite
- DBS Vantage Visa Infinite
To be eligible, you’ll need to comply with the following terms:
- Charge a pre-paid Agoda stay via the DBS TMP site to one of the eligible cards, where payment is made to Agoda at the time of booking
- Book between now and 30th June 2024
- Stay between now and 31st July 2024
- 3 mpd bonus miles capped at S$5,000 spend per calendar month (primary and supplementary cards under the same card account share the same cap)
To complete your booking via the TMP portal, you’ll have to log in to your DBS banking account.
You can then select which DBS card you wish to use to make payment, so be sure to select the one with the best base earn rate, which you’ll receive in addition to the 3 mpd bonus.
Initially, you will accrue miles at your card’s regular earn earn rate for these transactions.
The 3 mpd bonus will be awarded to your card account within 60 days after the transaction month, for example by 1st May 2024 for a February 2024 booking.

Total earning
DBS TMP transactions are all in Singapore Dollars, and so will earn base miles at your eligible card’s local earn rate, before the 3 mpd bonus is applied.

Do note that the DBS WWMC card’s S$2,000 monthly cap for 4 mpd earning is quite a bit lower than the S$5,000 monthly cap for the bonus 3 mpd rate under this promotion.
While it has the best overall earn rate of 7 mpd, it will therefore only work for hotel bookings of up to S$2,000 per calendar month, and that assumes you aren’t using the card’s bonus category for anything else.
Agoda 15% off alternative
There’s an alternative Agoda promotion currently running for DBS cardholders, where you’ll get 15% off worldwide hotel stays capped at S$30 per booking, while still earning your card’s base miles rate.
Unlike the 3 mpd bonus miles offer, this one is for bookings through a specific landing page at the Agoda site.
This may work out as a better deal, especially for cheaper hotel stays, but do note the restrictions:
- Booking period: Now to 31st March 2024
- Stay period: Now to 31st December 2024
- Prepaid room rates only at hotels with the “Promo Eligible” tag on the room types search results page.
Citi PremierMiles Agoda 7 mpd extended
If you have a Citi PremierMiles card, the bank has also extended its longstanding agreement with Agoda for 2024, a deal originally due to end on 31st December 2023.
It offers 7 miles per dollar along broadly the same terms as the DBS 15% discount deal, for bookings via its own dedicated landing page – www.agoda.com/bonusmiles.
This offer is good for bookings made up to 31st December 2024 for stays until 30th April 2025. Do check the specific terms and conditions for that deal at the above link.
As with DBS, there’s also a discount offer running for Citi cards via Agoda, with 20% off (capped at S$60), for bookings made between now and 29th February 2024 (stay by 31st December 2024).
Check Kaligo and Expedia too
DBS Altitude has an ongoing bonus miles relationship with hotel booking site Kaligo, offering 10 miles per S$1 spent as standard (capped at S$5,000 spend per month). That might work out better than this latest Agoda offer, depending on your choice of hotel and the rates available, so remember to check Kaligo first before committing to the Agoda deal.
There’s also a link with Expedia for 6 mpd using the Altitude cards, in addition to up to 2.2 mpd for FCY spend, which may work out better than the Agoda deal.

That means you can accrue up to 7 mpd on some cards for these stays, making this a deal worth checking alongside direct booking options and other credit card hotel discount promotions currently running, when researching your next trip.
Do note that the deal is capped at S$5,000 per calendar month, and that the base earn rate of 4 mpd on the most competitive card to pair with the offer – the DBS WWMC – will be hit first at S$2,000 spend.
Always remember the golden rule – check the best available rate directly with the hotel of your choice and other online travel agents like Expedia, as you may find you are paying more to accrue miles with these other sites.
If there’s a cost per mile involved with these promotions, it should always be justifiable within your personal limits before committing.
