Singapore Airlines is boosting flights to Australia this year, practically restoring pre-COVID capacity to and from the country as a whole by the end of 2024, including frequency increases on its Melbourne and Perth routes in the coming months.
To celebrate this increase, and perhaps also in a nod to KrisFlyer’s 25th anniversary this month, the airline is offering 25% off Saver redemption rates on selected flight services on these routes over the coming months, for those who book between now and 6th March 2024.
This promotion runs alongside KrisFlyer’s ongoing Spontaneous Escapes deal, with 30% off a much wider range of global routes for those who book by 29th February 2024, for travel in March 2024 and April 2024.
‘New Flights’ promotion: 25% off Saver awards
Singapore Airlines is offering 25% off award seats on selected flights on its Melbourne and Perth routes over the coming months, a deal that also includes Business Class in some cases.

Do note that the airline is offering this discount in its “Promo” award category, which means you’ll need to have relatively firm travel plans in order to commit – since the miles are not refundable if you don’t take the flight, and no changes are allowed.
Before we look at the options, here are the main terms and conditions.
New Flights Promotion
- A 25% discount on saver award redemptions for travel to and/or from Melbourne and Perth on selected flights.
- Redeem online at singaporeair.com or via the SingaporeAir mobile app between 21st February 2024 and 6th March 2024.
- Melbourne travel dates: 27th May 2024 to 19th June 2024.
- Perth travel dates: 31st March 2024 to 30th April 2024.
- Flights are non-refundable and non-changeable.
- Blackout dates apply on some routes (see the lists below for details).
- Book one-way legs if the discount only applies on one of the two (or more) flights you need. You cannot book one-way Promo and one-way Saver / Advantage awards in the same booking.
- You cannot waitlist for Promo redemptions.
- For any flights cancelled by SIA, or if a Promo flight was removed from a your booking due to COVID-19 and governmental regulatory changes, the miles redeemed in the unused portion of the ticket will be refunded, with no additional fees charged.
- Requests to change any booking details, or to retain the ticket for future use, will not be granted.

Summary
Singapore Airlines is celebrating an increase in Australia services with a 25% discount offer for award travel on specific flights to and from Melbourne and Perth, with Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class all part of the deal.
This brings redemption rates down to as little as 16,125 miles in Economy Class to Perth, though 51,325 miles from Melbourne to Singapore in Business Class is also a great deal, for travel in late May and early June this year.
However, do be sure that you can commit to firm travel plans before considering these deals, since “Promo” awards are non-changeable and non-refundable.
There’s also a 25% KrisFlyer miles bonus accrual on offer when travelling on specified flights departing from Australia, which some readers may find useful.
