If you’re a member of the Dorsett Your Rewards programme, the hotel and serviced apartment provider is now allowing you to convert your points into the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer programme, as an alternative to redeeming them for a discount on hotel stays, F&B like breakfast or other amenities during your stay.
This new partnership comes in addition to Dorsett’s recent addition of Cathay Pacific Asia Miles as a transfer partner since May this year.
Dorsett Your Rewards points to KrisFlyer miles
This new one-way conversion programme allows you to convert 1 Dorsett Rewards point into 10 KrisFlyer miles (1:10 ratio), with a minimum transfer of only 1 point required.

You need to log-in to your account to initiate the transfer, which is free of charge.
- Log in to Dorsett – Your Rewards Programme.
- Select ‘My Account & Rewards’. Click on ‘Transfer Points’.
- At ‘Partner’, click on drop down arrow and select ‘Singapore Airlines – KrisFlyer miles’. Fill in your name and membership number registered with Singapore Airlines.
- Fill in the number of Dorsett – Your Rewards points to convert to KrisFlyer miles.
It takes up to six weeks for the miles to arrive in your KrisFlyer account, so unfortunately this isn’t a way to quickly top-up your balance.

Dorsett Rewards points also transfer to Asia Miles at the same (poor) 1:10 ratio.
You can earn and redeem Dorsett Rewards points at any Dorsett, Dao by Dorsett, d.Collection and Silka hotels around the world, including the following properties in Singapore:
- Dorsett Singapore
- Dorsett Changi City Singapore
- Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore
Further details regarding the KrisFlyer conversion programme are available here.
Is it worth it?
Almost certainly not!
Dorsett Your Rewards points have a fixed value of 1 US dollar each, which is currently around S$1.30, so for example a transfer of 10 points into 100 KrisFlyer miles means you’re forgoing S$13 of potential future value in the Dorsett programme, by opting for miles instead.
You’d have to achieve 13+ Singapore cents of value per KrisFlyer mile to match this – which is completely impossible.

KrisFlyer miles are generally worth around 1.9 cents when used to redeem First Class and Business Class Saver awards on Singapore Airlines, but they can be worth as little as 0.67 cents when ‘cashed out’, for example via the Kris+ app for in-store purchases.
You can earn a maximum of 1 Dorsett Rewards point for every US$33 (S$43) spent on hotel stays, which means even if you do then convert them to KrisFlyer (which you really shouldn’t), the accrual rate is effectively 0.23 mpd.
Summary
It’s always good to have new ways to accrue KrisFlyer miles, and this month the loyalty programme for Dorsett International has joined the list.
The new partnership allows you to convert Dorsett Your Rewards points into miles at a 1:10 ratio, but while that may sound generous it really isn’t – you’d have to consider KrisFlyer miles worth a whopping 13 cents each to even consider such a transfer, close to seven times what we think they are actually worth!
Stick to a redemption within the Dorsett loyalty programme itself for the best value, if you can.
