Earlier this month we reported on a new way to redeem your KrisFlyer miles, with the airline’s Accor Live Limitless partnership expanded into a two-way transfer option, allowing miles to hotel point conversions as well as the longstanding opposite transfer option from ALL to KrisFlyer.
To promote the new two-way partnership there is now a transfer bonus running in both direction through to the end of September 2024.

Transfer KrisFlyer miles to ALL points with a 50% bonus
Normally you’ll receive 2 ALL points for every 9 Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles you convert, but between 17th September and 30th September 2024 there’s a 50% bonus deal on offer, giving you 3 ALL points for every 9 KrisFlyer miles.

| Transfer Ratio
KrisFlyer miles ALL points 9 : 3 |
Since Accor Live Limitless ALL points have a fixed value of 2.9 Singapore cents each at current exchange rates, based on redemption as a hotel credit at 2,000 points = €40 (S$58), the year-round transfer ratio means cashing out your KrisFlyer miles at 0.64 Singapore cents each, which is among the worst value you can get from them.
During this promotion, the boosted 9:3 transfer ratio means cashing out your KrisFlyer miles at 0.96 Singapore cents each, which is certainly better but still probably not worth it for most of our readers.
Here’s how it looks against the other options.
Redemption value for KrisFlyer miles
| Option | Min. Expiring Miles | Value per mile |
| Redeem an SIA or partner award flight | 8,500 | 1.90¢+ |
| Extend your miles for a fee | 1** | 1.74¢ |
| Offset a KrisShop purchase till 30 Sep 2024 |
~600 | 1.14¢ |
| Transfer to Velocity points | 5,000 | 1.03¢ |
| Transfer to Accor Live Limitless till 30 Sep 2024 |
4,500 | 0.96¢ |
| Offset an SIA or Scoot cash fare | 1,050 | 0.95¢ |
| Redeem a Pelago experience till 30 Sep 2024 |
1,050 | 0.95¢ |
| Transfer to Kris+ till 30 Sep 2024 |
1 | 0.89¢ |
| Redeem a vRooms hotel stay | 1,200 | 0.80¢ |
| Transfer to Velocity points then back to KrisFlyer | 7,750 | 0.79¢ |
| Transfer to Shangri-La points | 20,000 | 0.74¢ |
| Transfer to CapitaStar | 3,000 | 0.70¢ |
| Transfer to LinkPoints then back to KrisFlyer | 3,390 | 0.60¢ |
| Transfer to LinkPoints | 3,000 | 0.59¢ |
| Transfer to Esso Smiles | 3,000 | 0.47¢ to 0.67¢ |
| Transfer to Marriott Bonvoy | 3,000 | 0.50¢ |
** Or the miles quantity you have expiring in a single calendar month, if greater
Where necessary in this table, a miles redemption value for a Singapore Airlines flight is assumed at 1.9 cents. You may have to adjust the value per mile for some of these options, if your own valuation is different.
Transfers from KrisFlyer miles to ALL points are subject to a maximum of 180,000 miles per calendar year, and can only be initiated between 6am and 11.59pm each day Singapore Time (though they are then instant).
As you can see from the table above, a KrisFlyer miles to ALL points transfer during this promotion will achieve 0.96 cents per mile, provided you have an upcoming hotel stay to redeem the ALL points for.
However, there are also offers this month to cash out of your KrisFlyer miles at an enhanced rate of 0.89 cents per mile with Kris+ (transfer to KrisPay miles for in-store spend) and for KrisShop at 1.14 cents per mile, the latter allowing flexible part cash / part miles payment.
All of these valuations are still well short of the typical value you’ll get with a First Class or Business Class award redemption on Singapore Airlines.
Transfer ALL points to KrisFlyer miles with a 50% bonus
The year-round transfer ratio from Accor Live Limitless points to KrisFlyer miles is at a 2:1 ratio.
During this promotion that get hiked by 50%, to a 2:1.5 (or 4:3) ratio.

| Transfer Ratio
ALL points KrisFlyer miles 2 : 1 2 : 1.5 |
You’re usually sacrificing around S$58 in hotel credits to achieve 1,000 KrisFlyer miles for each block converted, so you’d have to value KrisFlyer miles at an insanely high 5.8 cents each to consider this transfer year-round.
During this promotion, you’ll get 1,500 KrisFlyer miles for the same S$58 sacrifice in cash value, meaning you would still have to consider KrisFlyer miles worth a hugely unrealistic 3.9 cents each to go through with this.
Avoid.

Summary
Singapore Airlines recently made its partnership between Accor Hotels and KrisFlyer a two-way conversion programme, and now the airline is offering a 50% bonus on transfers between the two, in either direction.
While it sounds generous, a 50% bonus on a poor rate is usually still a poor rate, and that’s certainly the case in this deal.
Cashing out KrisFlyer miles into the fixed-value Accor programme only yields 0.96 cents of value per mile with the bonus, while in the opposite direction you’d have to consider KrisFlyer miles worth 3.9 cents each to even consider a transfer to KrisFlyer.
Avoid this one, unless absolutely necessary.
