Back in 2020, Singapore Airlines made a surprise move by introducing amenity kits for Business Class passengers, a perk the carrier had long resisted providing, in favour of offering shared amenities in the lavatories and other items such as slippers and eyeshades on request.
The current kits are in collaboration with Penhaligon’s of London, and are still offered today on longer flights.

SIA has now announced that it’s switching to a new brand for these kits, with luxury perfume house Le Labo selected as the the partner for the carrier’s latest Business Class amenity kits.
SIA is known for its exceptional service and this partnership elevates the in-flight experience for its Business Class customers, blending SIA’s signature hospitality with Le Labo Fragrances’ artisanal craftsmanship.

Who is Le Labo?
If you’re not already familiar, Le Labo is a luxury fragrance brand known for its minimalist aesthetic, artisanal approach, and high-quality perfumes.

Founded in 2006 in New York City by Fabrice Penot and Edouard Roschi, Le Labo (French for “The Lab”) emphasises craftsmanship and personalisation, setting it apart from traditional mass-market perfume brands.

Le Labo is a personal favourite of ours, so it’s great to see this new partnership with Singapore Airlines take shape. You can already find its products at two outlets in Singapore – in the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and at Ngee Ann City.
Duty Free stores in all four terminals at Changi Airport also stock Le Labo products.

Le Labo has something of a cult following and is popular among those who appreciate unique, high quality fragrances. While the company was acquired by the giant Estée Lauder Group in 2014, we personally think it has still managed to maintain its boutique, artisanal feel.
SIA’s new Le Labo Business Class amenity kits
The amenity kits won’t actually feature any of Le Labo’s signature fragrances, but instead will include travel-sized versions of the following products:

- Hand Pomade (20ml)
A creamy hand pomade for even rough hands. Formulated with plant-based ingredients. With a blend of shea butter, coconut oil, and almond oil. Rich texture that softens and moisturises hands. - Face Mist (10ml)
A refreshing spray to hydrate and revitalise during long-haul flights. - Lip Balm (5ml)
A quick and easy lip balm formula. Formulated with plant-based ingredients. With a blend of olive oil and shea butter. Helps soften lips. Smooth and supple results.
This is a similar lineup provided in the current Penhaligon’s amenity its, which feature face mist, hand lotion and lip balm.
The new Le Labo products come in a waxed cotton canvas pouch, inspired by Le Labo’s iconic lab aprons, which can be reused as a travel document holder.

While these amenity kits are relatively modest for Business Class, especially compared to those offered by Middle Eastern carriers, they are still likely to be well-received and eagerly collected by Singapore Airlines enthusiasts.
Which routes?
Singapore Airlines will offer its Le Labo Business Class amenity kits “on request” on flights above six hours, as it does now with the Penhaligon’s kits.
Here are the routes you’ll find the new amenity kits provided on, from 24th December 2024.

| Business Class Routes | |
| With amenity kits (6 hours+) |
Without amenity kits (less than 6 hours) |

* Some flights on these routes exceed six hours, and therefore may feature amenity kits in Business Class
As you can see, around half of all SIA’s routes have Business Class amenity kits available.
First Class continues to get Lalique amenity kits
There’s no change for SIA’s Amenity Kit offering in its First Class and Suites cabins, with Lalique amenity kits provided on flights of five hours or more.

Here the airline really steps up the offering, with a more extensive selection of products including a candle gift.
Premium Economy continues to get Out of the Woods amenity kits
Back in March this year, Singapore Airlines rolled out a series of enhancements to its Premium Economy service offerings, including a new amenity kit.
This one is provided by US-based sustainable lifestyle brand Out of the Woods, available for passengers travelling in SIA’s Premium Economy cabins on flights of seven hours or longer.

It’s a relatively basic kit as you’d probably imagine (even the airline’s new Le Labo amenity kit in Business Class is simple enough – compared to many other airlines!).
The Premium Economy kit includes only eyeshades, slippers and lip balm.
Personal toiletries like dental kits and moisturiser are still kept in the aircraft washrooms, as they are in Business Class.
Summary
Singapore Airlines is switching its Business Class amenity kits to a new partnership with luxury fragrance brand Le Labo, replacing its current collaboration with Penhaligon’s. From 24th December 2024, Le Labo kits will be available on flights over six hours.
The kits feature travel-sized hand pomade, face mist, and lip balm in a reusable waxed cotton pouch inspired by Le Labo’s lab aprons.

While Le Labo’s iconic fragrances themselves won’t be included, the products emphasise plant-based ingredients and functionality. We hold the Le Labo brand in high regard, so it’s exciting to see this partnership take shape and we’re certainly looking forward to experiencing these new kits firsthand.
SIA’s First Class and Suites passengers will continue to receive Lalique amenity kits on flights over five hours, while Premium Economy passengers on flights over seven hours still receive basic kits by sustainable brand Out of the Woods.

So sad, it is still an upon request attitude for long haul flight. Great service you still consider?

No more different colours? Penhaligons got 4 different colours.
Took SQ248 MelSin on Boxing Day. The new amenity kit by Le Labo is already on offered. It was placed on the seat so not on request basis.
