KrisShop has a new promotion for the first couple of weeks of 2025, offering a simple way to earn a bonus 200 KrisFlyer miles on your first purchase of the year through the site, in addition to regular miles earning of up to 4 mpd in addition to credit card points.
The nice thing about this deal is that it is free from any brand exclusions, so you’ll be able to net 200 miles for any purchase, excluding gift vouchers – not a life-changing amount but every little helps!
KrisShop Miles Ahead promotion
As part of KrisShop’s Miles Ahead promotion, 200 bonus KrisFlyer miles are on offer for your first purchase of the year, made between 1st January 2025 and 14th January 2025, with no minimum spend and no brand exclusions.
Purchases made online via KrisShop.com or on KrisShop via the Kris+ app are included, but not those made inflight or via the KrisShop order form.
Purchases of KrisShop e-gift cards are excluded from the promotion.
You will receive the bonus 200 KrisFlyer miles whether you pay for your KrisShop purchase in cash, using vouchers or when redeeming miles.

Bonus miles don’t credit till April
Regular KrisFlyer miles earning for KrisShop purchases is usually credited to your account within one day of your order, or instantly as KrisPay miles if you purchase via the Kris+ app – the latter being transferable to KrisFlyer miles within 21 days.
However, you will not see the 200 bonus miles from this promotion for up to 12 weeks after the end of the promotion period, which could be as late as 8th April 2025.
The 200 bonus miles will also be backdated to reflect a January 2025 accrual in your KrisFlyer account, so they will expire on 31st January 2028, giving you slightly less than the usual three years to use them.

Spend at least S$69 for free delivery
If you’re taking advantage of this promotion for a KrisShop purchase between now and 14th January 2025, you probably won’t be wanting to pay any delivery charge for your products.
That means you’ll have to spend at least S$75 (S$69+ before GST) to benefit from free delivery.
Under this promotion, the highest earn rate for an ‘optimal’ S$69 + GST (S$75.21) purchase with free delivery would be:
- 276 miles
4 mpd x S$69 as a KrisShopper Ambassador member - 300 miles
4 mpd from your credit card - 200 miles
Promotion Bonus - 776 miles total (10.3 mpd)
KrisShop isn’t always the cheapest option
One important thing to consider is that KrisShop isn’t always the cheapest place to source items, with some heavy markups applied in some cases.
Make sure you shop around before committing, to ensure you’re either getting the cheapest deal anyway, or that the miles you are earning by using KrisShop instead of a cheaper alternative outweigh any additional cash cost.
If you can source the item you are looking for cheaper elsewhere, its unlikely that the 200 bonus miles awarded under this offer will offset the difference, so do shop around first.
Which credit card to use for KrisShop purchases
If you’re sticking to the regular earning method at KrisShop, or making a part miles / part cash purchase under this offer, you will need to pay for the remaining balance by credit card.
KrisShop purchases code under MCC 5309: Duty Free Stores, and that means you can tap into some bonus earn rates with a variety of credit cards, subject to their monthly requirements and spending caps.

Note that the Citi Rewards card should not be used to make in-app payments on Kris+, since mobile wallet payments are specifically excluded from bonus miles earning, regardless of the merchant MCC.
However, using the Citi Rewards card directly at KrisShop.com will attract the card’s 4 mpd bonus rate.
Also note that the KrisFlyer Amex cards don’t earn their 2 mpd KrisShop bonus rate when making KrisShop purchases via the Kris+ app, so stick to the desktop site only with these cards.
Summary
KrisShop is offering an easy 200 bonus KrisFlyer miles for any purchase, with no minimum spend or brand exclusions, between now and 14th January 2025.
That could make it a good time to make a purchase if there are any items of interest that are good value, either on KrisShop.com or on KrisShop via the Kris+ app.
