Singapore Airlines is set to launch its monthly Spontaneous Escapes promotion for February 2025 tomorrow (15th January 2025), offering the usual discounts of 30% on Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class award bookings to and from a selection of destinations across its network.
What’s slightly different this month – and indeed potentially very useful going forward – is that the full list of options has been loaded up a day in advance, allowing you to carefully consider your options before jumping online to book as soon as the deal goes live – which is set for 9am tomorrow (15th January 2025).
As usual, to take advantage of these savings you’ll need to secure your tickets within a two-week window once the offer is released, though discounted award seats are available on a first come, first served basis – so planning to book as soon as the deal goes live is the best idea.
Some of the best deals worth considering this month are:
- Singapore to or from Brussels for 72,450 miles in Business Class
- Singapore to Frankfurt (one-way) for 72,450 miles in Business Class
- Singapore to or from Cairns for 47,950 miles in Business Class or 21,350 miles in Economy Class

- Singapore to or from Malé for 30,100 miles in Business Class or 14,000 miles in Economy Class

Advance preview: a new perk?
It does seem like Singapore Airlines has introduced a thoughtful improvement for its monthly popular KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes deal here, by releasing the full list of discounted award redemptions ahead of the offer going live.
That’s great news in our book – because this change gives members a valuable opportunity to plan their travel more effectively.
By offering a preview of the destinations and discounts available, you can carefully consider your options before the deal is available for booking. That means even if your preferred destination hasn’t been included, the advance notice gives you time to evaluate the alternatives that are available, to make the most of the discounts.

Let’s hope this is a genuine permanent enhancement for the Spontaneous Escapes offer, rather than just a glitch this month!
What if you already booked?
If you have already redeemed your miles on a flight that is on the Spontaneous Escapes list this month, unfortunately there’s no simple way to change it and pay the reduced miles rate.
You will have to book again at the Spontaneous Escapes rate, then cancel the existing booking and pay the miles redeposit fee (don’t do it the other way round, in case the Spontaneous Escapes Promo space disappears in the meantime!).
This will require you to have sufficient miles in your account to immediately lock in the Spontaneous Escapes rate.
If you need the miles from the original booking in order to make the Spontaneous Escapes one due to an insufficient balance, be very careful!
Since you will first have to cancel the original booking, you are now at the mercy of the Spontaneous Escapes space remaining available on the flight, and it can sometimes take a few days for the miles from your original cancelled booking to be re-credited to your account.
Terms and conditions
For those unfamiliar, here are the terms and conditions for the Spontaneous Escapes promotion.
February 2025 offer
- A 30% discount on saver award redemptions for travel to and/or from selected destinations in February 2025.
- Redeem online at singaporeair.com or via the SingaporeAir mobile app between 9am SGT 15th January 2025 and 11.59pm SGT 31st January 2025.
- Flights are non-refundable and non-changeable.
- Blackout dates apply on some routes (see the full list below for details).
- Book one-way legs if the discount only applies on one of the two (or more) flights you need. You cannot book one-way Promo (Spontaneous Escapes) and one-way Saver / Advantage awards in the same booking.
- Travel must be completed by 28th February 2025.
- Book as many redemptions as you like at Spontaneous Escapes rates – it’s not capped.
- You cannot waitlist for Promo (Spontaneous Escapes) redemptions.
- For any flights cancelled by SIA, or if a flight was removed from a Spontaneous Escapes booking due to COVID-19 and governmental regulatory changes, the miles redeemed in the unused portion of the ticket will be refunded, with no additional fees charged.
- Requests to change any booking details, or to retain the ticket for future use, will not be granted.
In a nutshell – be sure to have firm travel plans if you’re planning to lock in a Spontaneous Escapes deal.
Summary
Singapore Airlines is offering an advance preview of its KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes deal for February 2025, in what we hope is a permanent enhancement for the offer, giving members time to consider all the options ahead of the deal going live.
Do take a good look at the options for these 30% discounts next month, and if anything is of interest be ready to book from 9am Singapore Time tomorrow (15th January 2025).
Offers this month in Business Class include Singapore to or from Brussels or Frankfurt for 72,450 miles, Bangkok for 16,800 miles, Bali for 14,700 miles, Malé for 30,100 miles and Hong Kong for 23,800 miles.
Even in Economy Class there are some competitive rates like Bali for 5,950 miles and Osaka for 18,900 miles.
