Between 14th - 28th February, you can earn up to 1,500 bonus miles via Kris+ based on your total cumulative spend over this two-week period.

Kris+ has a new offer for the final two weeks of February 2025, with up to 1,500 bonus miles awarded to those spending via the app during this period, though there are two bonus tiers and in each case the deal is capped – so you’ll have to be among the first to reach a qualifying spend threshold to be eligible.

While that means the bonus miles aren’t guaranteed, if you can hit the minimum spend relatively soon you’re in with a good chance, since the deal only just went live this morning.

From 14th February 2025 at 10.00am (SGT) to 28th February 2025 at 11.59pm (SGT), Kris+ users can enrol in this Rewards Accelerator Challenge, then hit one of the two spend thresholds to be in with a chance of earning either 500 or 1,500 bonus KrisPay miles when meeting cumulative spend thresholds via the app.

In all cases, the deal is capped at the first xxx users to achieve the relevant spend threshold after enrolment, not the users who first enrol in the promo, even if they eventually go on to meet the qualifying spend.

Sooner rather than later is therefore key to this one, and with no exclusions for voucher code or promo code transactions it should be relatively easy to rack up the necessary spend, even without any physical in-store purchases in many cases.

Kris+ February Rewards Accelerator Challenge
Reward Qualifying
Spend
Cap Reward
Tier 1 S$200 – S$499.99 First 1,000 users 500 bonus miles
Tier 2 S$500+ First 500 users 1,500 bonus miles

Qualifying spend is any spend made directly through the Kris+ App through the Kris+ app via Apple Pay (for iOS devices) or Google Pay (for Android devices) in Singapore at any participating Kris+ partner, with no minimum or maximum amount.

At the optimum spend levels, these bonus miles are worth an additional 2.5 mpd (500 bonus for S$200 spend) or 3 mpd (1,500 bonus for S$500 spend).

The spend must be made:

  • within the promotional period; and
  • subsequent to promotion enrolment.

You can enrol for this challenge by clicking on the 1,500 Bonus Miles promotion on the Kris+ app homepage, then scrolling down to START CHALLENGE.

Again, there is no cap on the number of users who can register for the challenge, so just because you have successfully registered does not mean you are guaranteed to be awarded one of the bonus miles amounts – you’ll have to be among the first to achieve the spend to be eligible.

The two rewards shown in the table above are not cumulative, so if you are successful in being one of the first 500 users to hit S$500+ spend during the promotion, you will only be eligible for the Tier 2 reward of 1,500 bonus miles (not the 500 miles Tier 1 award as well). It’s one or the other, but not both.

Full terms and conditions for this offer are available here.

One benefit of Kris+ is that many merchants offer vouchers you can purchase via the app in advance from the comfort of your home, then redeem in-store at a later date.

You’ll earn the regular KrisPay miles earn rate for the voucher purchase itself in this case, then you’ll simply have to settle any balance over and above the voucher value at the merchant via the Kris+ app when you come to pay.

Since this bonus miles deal requires you to be among the first xxx to meet the required spend threshold via Kris+, a quick voucher purchase may give you the best chance of doing so, before the quota is met.

I just registered then purchased some FairPrice vouchers using my DBS WWMC card (1 mpd + 4 mpd), which I can now redeem over the next year or so, and so I’m pretty confident that I’ll be among the first to qualify for the bonus miles in this case, further adding to my effective earn rate in this case.

The challenge will not track your eligible spend during the promotion (for that you’ll have to check Wallet > Transaction History), nor will you be advised that you have been successful in achieving one of the spend tiers within the user cap.

Instead, you’ll find out next month, because the 500 or 1,500 bonus miles will then be credited to your Kris+ app by 14th March 2025 (or not, as the case may be).

If you are successful, these miles can then be transferred into KrisFlyer miles, provided none of them have been used (only transfers in their entirety are eligible). Transfers to KrisFlyer must be made within 21 days of the time the prize is credited into your Kris+ account.

Many bonus credit cards in Singapore earn at their top rate for Kris+ transactions, either for all spend or for purchases in selected Merchant Category Codes (MCCs).

For some cards it’s a little complicated, because the payment you make in-app will tag under the merchant’s MCC, so you’ll need to be confident it qualifies prior to your purchase, but there are some cards that earn at their top rate for all Kris+ spend too.

Here’s how some of these cards earn for Kris+ payments, within their monthly spend caps. You can check the MCC with the merchant in advance of your payment if necessary, though some are obvious (like restaurants – 5812).

If you’re not using Kris+ to earn additional miles for dining, retail, wellness or other goods and services in Singapore, then you’re potentially missing out on thousands of additional KrisFlyer miles each year.

The “lifestyle app” has progressively extended its reach across many popular (and admittedly some less well-known) outlets right across the country over the last few years.

Here’s our latest list of all Kris+ merchants and their respective regular earn rates, before credit card points and miles are accounted for.

Summary

There’s no harm in registering for this challenge, but to be in with a realistic prospect of then achieving one of the 500 or 1,500 bonus miles awards it’s best to rack up the minimum spend as soon as possible, since the deal is capped at the first xxx to do so in each case.

Purchasing Kris+ vouchers for your preferred merchant(s) in-app may be a good strategy here, since you could do this today, right at the start of the promotion, to clock the spend quickly – perhaps even in its entirety.

You can then actually redeem the vouchers at a later date.

Bonus miles from this promotion will be awarded in mid-March – if you’re successful – and they can then be transferred into KrisFlyer miles within 21 days.

Good luck!
