Singapore Airlines’ KrisShop is running a Sky-High Celebrations promotion, offering KrisFlyer members the chance to earn bonus miles on their purchases. Running from now till 13th August 2025, this deal provides an nice opportunity to boost your KrisFlyer account if you have some KrisShop spend in mind.
This bonus stacks with regular miles earning of up to 4 mpd for KrisShop purchases as a KrisShopper member, plus up to 4 mpd when you use the right credit card to pay, for a total optimal earning of over 11 mpd at the top end, if you hit the highest bonus spend tier.
As always though, make sure you’re getting a good deal before committing – KrisShop isn’t always the cheapest place to source items.
Bonus KrisFlyer miles promotion
The promotion runs from 1st August 2025 to 13th August 2025 and is quite straightforward: spend more, earn more bonus miles.
Here’s the tiered earning structure:
- Spend S$200+: Earn 500 bonus KrisFlyer miles
- Spend S$500+: Earn 1,500 bonus KrisFlyer miles
- Spend S$2,500+: Earn 8,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles
The spending thresholds are calculated after all discounts are applied, but exclude taxes, duties, and shipping fees.
Importantly, you can accumulate purchases across multiple transactions during the promotion period, to meet the overall target spend threshold you’re aiming for. You will only be eligible for one of the bonus awards, based on total spend.
For example, a S$900 purchase on 5th August plus a S$500 purchase on 8th August plus a further S$1,100 purchase on 12th August, giving you a total spend of S$2,500 across the promotion period, will make you eligible for the 8,000 bonus miles award.
Terms and spend exclusions
In order to benefit from this promotion, the following eligibility requirements apply:
- Must have an active KrisFlyer account and be logged into your KrisFlyer account when making purchases (KrisShopper membership is not a must)
- Valid for purchases made on KrisShop.com and the KrisShop portal within the Kris+ mobile app
Exclusions:
- KrisShop E-gift card purchases don’t count toward the promotion
- Only valid for online platform purchases (not inflight purchases or order forms)
- Cannot be combined with other KrisShop promotions (except the concurrent Mega Deals promotion and regular price discounts)
This promotion thankfully doesn’t come with the usual extensive list of KrisShop brand exclusions like Apple, Dyson and Samsung products.
Remember that gift cards can be included in your purchase, but will not count towards the minimum spend when assessing your KrisFlyer miles bonus.

Payment method flexibility
One interesting aspect of this promotion is that purchases made partially with vouchers or KrisFlyer miles still count toward the bonus miles earning, even though those portions won’t earn the usual base KrisFlyer miles.
This makes the promotion particularly attractive if you’re looking to redeem some expiring miles (now at 1 cent value each) or vouchers, while still earning bonus miles if your total spend is sufficient.
Timeline and miles crediting
The promotion runs for just under two weeks, from 1st August 2025 (0.00 hrs SGT) to 13th August 2025 (23.59 hrs SGT).
Your bonus miles will be credited within 12 weeks after the promotion ends, which is by 5th November 2025.
The bonus miles accrual date will be backdated to August 2025, for the purposes of miles expiry (31st August 2028 expiry in this case, for the bonus miles).
Overall miles earning
The bonus miles represent good value, particularly at the higher spending tiers:
- At the S$200 tier: Bonus 2.5 mpd
- At the S$500 tier: Bonus 3 mpd
- At the S$2,500 tier: Bonus 3.2 mpd
However, this is based on hitting the minimum spend for each tier exactly. The more you spend in each tier beyond the minimum level, without activating a subsequent tier, the lower the effective overall bonus mpd rate.
These rates are in addition to any base earning rates from your purchases, depending on your status tier in the KrisShopper programme (or not, as the case may be), outlined below.

Which credit cards to use
KrisShop purchases made via the Kris+ app will code under MCC 5309: Duty Free Stores, and that means you can tap into some 4 mpd earn rates with a variety of credit cards, subject to their monthly requirements and spending caps.

Note that the Citi Rewards card should not be used to make in-app payments on Kris+, since mobile wallet payments are specifically excluded from bonus miles earning, regardless of the merchant MCC.
However, using the Citi Rewards card directly at KrisShop.com will attract the 4 mpd bonus rate.
KrisShop isn’t always the cheapest option
One important thing to consider is that KrisShop isn’t always the cheapest place to source items, with some heavy markups applied in some cases.
Make sure you shop around before committing, to ensure you’re either getting the cheapest deal anyway, or that the miles you are earning by using KrisShop instead of a cheaper alternative outweigh any additional cash cost.
