That’s a very attractive total potential stash of up to 17 mpd for top-tier KrisShopper members, but requires a hefty total spend during the promotion.

KrisShop isn’t always the cheapest place to buy products, but if an item costs slightly more than on other sites, it’s worth crunching the numbers – the miles earned from this offer might be worth more than the price difference.

Unlock Bonus Miles Promotion

KrisShop’s Unlock Bonus Miles deal is available for the next seven days, with bonus miles awarded based on your total cumulative spend during the period, with no brand exclusions, and no upper cap on how many miles you can earn.

Here’s the tiered bonus miles earning structure:

• Spend S$280 – S$599: Earn +2 mpd bonus KrisFlyer miles
• Spend S$600 – S$2,999: Earn +3 mpd bonus KrisFlyer miles
• Spend S$3,000+: Earn +9 mpd bonus KrisFlyer miles

In past promotions, KrisShop has excluded brands like Apple, Dyson and Samsung from bonus miles offers. This time, there are no exclusions, making high-value, often price-controlled items – some of which can’t be found cheaper elsewhere – a great option to consider during this deal.

You can make your purchase at KrisShop.com or at KrisShop on the Kris+ mobile app and still benefit from the same regular and bonus earn rate, based on total cumulative spend during the promotion period.

Do note that when purchasing via the Kris+ app, regular miles are earned for every S$2 spent instead of every S$1, which may slightly effect the rounding of your miles accrual, but the effective earn rate remains the same.

Also, when purchasing via Kris+ the regular miles earning is instant, while it typically takes a day or so for regular miles to be credited to your KrisFlyer account, when purchasing via KrisShop.com.

The purchase of KrisShop E-gift Cards is the only category excluded from the promotion. Any purchase of KrisShop E-gift Cards will not be included in the computation of the minimum purchase criteria.

For example, you can’t spend S$510 on regular items and simply add a S$100 E-gift Card to your basket and expect your bonus miles to be +3 mpd (for S$610 spend) – it will be +2 mpd (for S$510 spend).

Bonus miles crediting

Regardless of whether you use KrisShop.com or the Kris+ mobile app to make your purchase, initially only the regular miles rate will be credited to your KrisFlyer or KrisPay account in the usual way.

Bonus KrisFlyer miles earned as part of this promotion will then be credited directly into your KrisFlyer account as KrisFlyer miles within 12 weeks of the promotion end date, which is by 1st December 2025.

Use the right credit card for up to 17 mpd

KrisShop purchases code under MCC 5309: Duty Free Stores, and that means you can tap into some bonus earn rates with a variety of Singapore credit cards, subject to their monthly requirements and spending caps.

Those miles are issued by your bank, so they come on top of up to 13 mpd KrisShop is offering with this promotion, and that means up to 17 mpd total effective earning on a wide range of products.

Note: Total earning will never quite hit 17 mpd (13 + 4), because Kris+ does not award miles on the GST component for any products purchased.

For those spending S$3,000+ to trigger the +9 mpd bonus, the best strategy is to split purchases into smaller payments across different cards to maximise both the 4 mpd credit card earn rates and the KrisShop bonus, given most cards have monthly caps of around S$1,000. Otherwise, a general spend card may work out better in this case.

Note that the Citi Rewards card should not be used to make in-app payments on Kris+, since mobile wallet payments are specifically excluded from bonus miles earning, regardless of the merchant MCC.

However, using the Citi Rewards card directly at KrisShop.com will attract the card’s 4 mpd bonus rate.

Here’s an example of what you’ll earn using an HSBC Revolution card at KrisShop.com for a S$600 + GST purchase (S$654 including GST), as a KrisShopper Ambassador status holder.

• 2,616 miles from HSBC (S$327.00 x 4 mpd)
• 900 regular miles from KrisShop (S$600.00 x 1.5 mpd)
• 2,400 bonus miles for Ambassador status (S$600.00 x 4 mpd)
• 1,800 bonus miles during this offer meeting S$600+ spend (S$600.00 x 3 mpd)
• 7,716 miles total (11.8 mpd)

That’s an impressive 12 mpd on a S$654 purchase, with 7,716 miles worth over S$138 ‘value back’ in KrisFlyer miles against a future redemption, assuming 1.8 cents per mile is achieved.

For the next seven days you can earn bonus miles of 2 mpd, 3 mpd or 9 mpd for KrisShop purchases, which stacks with your year-round earn rate based on KrisShopper tier and with credit card earning of up to a further 4 mpd, meaning 17 mpd in total for some.

There is no upper cap to the miles earned from KrisShop during this promotion, nor are there any brand exclusions to speak of this time round.

That could make purchases of price-controlled items like Apple products a good deal during this promotion, but for other items make sure the miles you are earning outweigh any potential additional cost that KrisShop may be charging, compared to other stores.
