UOB has launched a new bonus miles deal for its PRVI Miles credit card holders, offering 5 mpd instead of its usual 3 mpd / 2.4 mpd earn rate for overseas shopping and dining spend with all three of its cards, between now and the end of December 2025.
This is effectively a repeat of the bank’s bi-annual promotions dating right back to November 2022, and once again brings the earn rate higher than past UOB promos offering 4.4 mpd bonus rate for bonus spend.
The deal comes just in time for the peak year-end travel period, when many of our readers have planned overseas trips, and this offer is good for a range of common spend categories including restaurants, fast food outlets, bars, duty free stores and department stores.
It’s also a good opportunity for Visa, Mastercard and Amex cardholders to all benefit, with UOB’s offers more typically targeted to just one or two of its three card networks.
5 mpd for overseas shopping and dining

You’ll have to spend at least S$1,500 within these categories to trigger the bonus earn rate, with an upper cap of 8,000 bonus miles.

Between 17th November 2025 and 31st December 2025, if you successfully charge at least S$1,500 in the transactions listed above (and further defined below) to your card(s), you’ll be eligible for the bonus miles earning on this spend, up to a maximum of 8,000 bonus miles.
8,000 bonus miles in this case can be achieved with S$3,080 of eligible overseas ‘non-regional’ spend – in Australia for example – or with S$4,000 of eligible overseas regional spend – in Malaysia for example.
If you have multiple UOB PRVI Miles cards, do note that you’ll only be eligible to earn the bonus award of up to 8,000 miles once across all your card accounts during this promotion (not once per PRVI Miles card account).
The 8,000 bonus-mile cap isn’t per currency bucket – it covers your combined regional and non-regional eligible spends. That means considering your spending mix. Where you spend (which currency / region) affects how fast you reach the cap.
There is no cap on the usual base earn rate of 2.4 mpd or 3 mpd, which you will still be eligible to earn on these transactions, even after your bonus cap is reached.
Only primary cardholders can participate, but eligible transactions made by your supplementary cardholders will count towards the spend for the promotion.
Registration is required
The bonus earn rate is not automatic – you must successfully register to participate in this promotion. That requires principal cardholders to send an SMS to 77862 using their mobile number registered with UOB, in the following format:
![]() PMX [space] Last 4 alphanumeric digits of your NRIC or Passport Number Example: If your NRIC is S1234567A, you will need to send “PMX 567A” to 77862 |
All primary cardholders are eligible for this promotion, with no upper participant cap.
You must register within the promotion period (i.e. before 31st December 2025), but not necessarily before your first eligible transaction.
5 mpd on overseas shopping
The first bonus category during this promotion is for overseas shopping transactions, which UOB defines as in-store transactions (offline only) processed by the merchant in foreign currency.
Do note that payments made online in foreign currency are not eligible as part of this promotion. This deal is for in-person spend.
Transactions must code under any one of the following Merchant Category Codes (MCCs):

When choosing between the cards, you may wish to note that the PRVI Miles Amex version also boasts 20,000 bonus miles for a S$50k+ annual spend.
A major factor to note with these cards is that you’ll only earn UNI$ (which convert at a 1:2 ratio into KrisFlyer miles or Asia Miles) for S$5+ spending blocks. Spend S$4.99 and you will walk away empty-handed!
Summary
UOB is back with an 8,000 bonus miles cap on point-of-sale overseas shopping and dining, across all three UOB PRVI Miles credit cards, ideal for those with overseas travel coming up between now and the end of December 2025.
You’ll need to clock at least S$1,500 total spend in the bonus categories across the promotion period to be eligible – and sadly the isn’t as generous as last year, when up to 13,000 bonus miles were on offer.
At some stage during the promotion you’ll also need to register to participate. Sooner is better than later, in case you forget. In fact there is no harm in registering your card, even if you don’t think you’ll participate.
Luckily the deal has no upper registration limit, and your supplementary cardholders can help you along with their own spend in eligible categories.
