KrisFlyer offering 28% transfer bonus to yuu Rewards Points

You can transfer KrisFlyer miles to yuu Rewards points with a 28% bonus till 27th February, but it's still a poor deal compared to other options.

Back in April 2025, KrisFlyer upgraded its partnership with the yuu Rewards programme to a two-way conversion option, allowing members to transfer KrisFlyer miles into yuu Points, in addition to being able to convert from yuu Points to KrisFlyer.

As usual though with these ‘cash out’ options, the value was poor, with the transfer ratio valuing your miles at just 0.66 cents each once converted to yuu Points.

Now there’s a 28% transfer bonus running through to 27th February 2026 for KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points conversions, but don’t get too excited because this doesn’t move the needle significantly enough to make it a good deal.

Normally you’ll receive 1.325 yuu Points for every 1 Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer mile you convert, but between 16th February and 27th February 2026 there’s a 28% bonus deal on offer, giving you 1.696 yuu Points for every KrisFlyer mile.

You need to convert a minimum of 2,000 KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points per transfer, thereafter transfers can be made in single-mile increments.

An upper cap of 80,000 KrisFlyer miles transferred per calendar year (1 Jan – 31 Dec) applies, which is still enforced during this promotion.

Your conversion will initially be at the standard rate, with the 28% bonus yuu points credited to your account separately within 14 working days following the promotion end date, which is by approximately 20th March 2026.

Full terms and conditions for this promotion are available here.

You might think transferring expiring miles to yuu Points is a good way to extract value from them, and to some extent it is a nice flexible method if you shop at yuu Rewards merchants like Cold Storage and foodpanda.

However, remember that yuu Points are only worth 0.5 Singapore cents each, so even at the enhanced 1:1.696 transfer ratio, you’re cashing out your KrisFlyer miles at 0.85 cents each.

Historically that wouldn’t be a bad rate, but since Singapore Airlines hiked the value of its miles for redemption at Kris+, KrisShop and Pelago to a fixed 1 cent per mile back in July last year, there are now a range of flexible ways to cash out at this enhanced rate – 18% better value than this offer.

You can even offset cash fares booked on SIA or Scoot flights at 1 cent per mile, without award space being available.

Here’s how the enhanced yuu Rewards deal looks against the other options.

How to transfer

To transfer your KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points, log on via the desktop site, then go to Profile > Partner Programmes.

Simply click ‘Convert your KrisFlyer miles’ then scroll down to ‘Other redemption options’ and click the yuu link.

Then simply complete the conversion form, including your yuu Rewards account number, if not already linked.

Upon your first successful conversion, your KrisFlyer account will be automatically linked to your yuu account. Once the accounts are linked, this cannot be changed.

Once a conversion from KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points is completed, it cannot be reversed and/or refunded.

Remember that the 28% bonus yuu Points will not reflect at the transfer stage.

In the above example with a 2,000 KrisFlyer miles to 2,650 yuu Points transfer, you’d have to make a fresh transfer of 2,650 yuu Points back to KrisFlyer miles, which will result in you getting only 737 miles back – so don’t experiment with this!

Transfers between KrisFlyer miles and yuu Points are instant.

As we mentioned earlier, it’s also possible to transfer yuu Points into KrisFlyer miles.

This allows you to convert yuu Points at a ratio of 3.6:1 into KrisFlyer.

3.6 : 1

You’ll need to convert a minimum of 200 yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles per transfer, thereafter transfers can be made in single-point increments.

There is no cap on the number of transfers you can make from yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles, nor any upper cap on the total transfer quantity per year.

This recent alternative to the yuu programme’s traditional cashback offering, which of course still remains an option for members, means that transferring your points to KrisFlyer miles instead only makes sense if you value the latter at a higher rate than the regular rebates offered.

At this rate, you’re effectively cashing out yuu Points at 1.8 cents each for KrisFlyer miles – worth considering if you redeem miles for SIA’s premium cabins, but not necessarily a must-do for everyone.

You can transfer yuu Rewards points to KrisFlyer miles via the yuu app on your smartphone (App Store | Google Play Store).

Prior to your first transfer from yuu to KrisFlyer, you’ll need to confirm your KrisFlyer account number. You can then proceed with your transfer.

For yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles transfers, the optimal transfer ratio is 209 yuu Points to 59 KrisFlyer miles (3.542:1), due to rounding in your favour, so try to transfer in these blocks if you can.

Summary

Singapore Airlines is offering a 28% bonus for transfers from KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points, but even at the enhanced 1:1.696 transfer ratio it’s not attractive, with a range of flexible cash-out options for expiring miles at 1 cent each.

On the flip side, converting yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles at an effective rate of 1.8 cents per point remains a decent option, particularly if you’re eyeing premium cabin redemptions. However, as always, it’s essential to compare against alternatives to determine if it aligns with your spending strategy.

Ultimately, unless you’re in urgent need of poor cashback-equivalent value, holding onto your KrisFlyer miles for flight redemptions is always the smartest move, and there are better options like Kris+ and KrisShop even if you are facing imminent expiry with no travel plans.
