There’s a new Kris+ promotion available for our Sydney- and Melbourne-based readers, as well as those visiting these popular cities, between now and the end of the month. This offer provides an additional 3 mpd across all earning merchants, allowing you to net up to 6 mpd before factoring in any credit card points.
With a favourable exchange rate currently in play, this translates to over 7 mpd at the highest tier when measured in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Combined with up to 4 mpd from the right credit card, you can effectively earn up to 11 mpd when spending at Kris+ merchants in Sydney or Melbourne for the rest of March 2025.

When Kris+ initially expanded miles earning to Australia there were only 44 participating merchants in Sydney and Melbourne, but that total has now expanded significantly, with 185 merchants now on the list across both cities.
That means there’s a good selection of restaurants, bars, retail and activities providers to choose from during this promotion.
Kris+ ‘March Miles Rush’ in Australia
The Kris+ app is offering an additional 3 mpd, based on Australian Dollar (AUD) spend at all 185 of these merchants in both Sydney and Melbourne between 14th March 2025 and 31st March 2025.
Earning is uncapped, and these miles are awarded instantly as an addition to the usual 1 mpd to 3 mpd accrual rates at all outlets when you make a purchase using the app.
The good news is that since 6 mpd is offered for Australian Dollar (AUD) spend in these cities, you’re actually getting over 7 mpd in Singapore Dollar terms, since 1 AUD is costing you only 0.84 Singapore cents, at current exchange rates.

There are now a total of 100 bars, cafes, restaurants, retail outlets and wellness providers on the Kris+ earn programme city-wide across Sydney, all of which are participating in this ‘March Miles Rush’ between now and 31st March 2025.

Additional discounts
Kris+ is also offering additional discounts at several of these merchant partners during this promotion.
These include discounted cash vouchers that you can purchase via the app in advance of your visit to offset the bill, with 4-6 mpd earning when you buy the voucher itself (check the redemption deadline).
In this example you can get 15% off a voucher for AU$100 off the bill at BangPop in Melbourne, earning 6 mpd for the AU$85.00 payment (510 miles), then redeem the voucher within 12 months of purchase.
Since AUD$85 is currently equivalent to around S$71.50, you’re picking up about 7.1 mpd here in SGD terms, before credit card points are accounted for.
If your bill comes to more than the voucher value, just pay the balance via the Kris+ app and earn even more miles.

Which card to use
Kris+ earn partners in Australia accept in-app payment via Apple Pay or Google Pay using Visa or Mastercard (but not American Express cards, which are only accepted via Kris+ in Singapore).
As you probably already know, with Kris+ you’ll earn KrisPay miles for your transaction (which you then can and should convert into KrisFlyer miles), on top of the usual points you’ll get when using your best credit card to make in-app payment.
Australian credit cards have rather lacklustre earn rates, but if you’re visiting Sydney or Melbourne here’s a list of Singapore-issued cards that should give you the best earn rate for Kris+ transactions at these merchants during the promotion (Australia Kris+ spend codes as online and FCY).
The following cards will earn at their bonus rate of between 3 mpd and 4 mpd for all Kris+ spend in Australia, though some are subject to minimum spend and/or have upper spend caps.

UOB Lady’s SolitaireDon’t use your Citi Rewards card to make payment with Apple Pay or Google Pay on Kris+, since online transactions using this card specifically exclude mobile wallet payments and will therefore earn at the basic rate of 0.4 mpd.
Don’t forget to transfer straight to KrisFlyer miles
KrisPay miles earned through Kris+ can only be transferred to your KrisFlyer account within 21 days of the transaction. To do so, simply tap on the “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button which will appear on the miles earned confirmation screen or transaction details screen.
You can do so later (within 21 days), but why wait?
Remember that KrisPay miles earned per transaction can only be transferred to your account in their entirety. If you earned 100 KrisPay miles from a single Kris+ transaction, for example, the full 100 KrisPay miles must be transferred to your KrisFlyer account. If you have already spent some of your KrisPay miles earned, a partial transfer option is not available.
We therefore recommend transferring to KrisFlyer immediately following any Kris+ earning transaction, in case you either forget or make a mistake later.
Summary
The latest Kris+ ‘March Miles Rush’ promotion is being offered only for merchants over in Australia, at all 185 earning partners ‘down under’.
That means earn rates of 4 mpd to 6 mpd for the rest of March 2025, equivalent to 4.8 mpd to 7.1 mpd when measured in Singapore Dollars, which could prove a very useful way to boost your KrisFlyer Miles stash if you’re based in Sydney or Melbourne, or you’re simply taking a trip to those cities this month.
Up to 7 mpd from this promotion comes in addition to the points you’ll earn on your credit card, for a total haul of 11 mpd at the top level, but even with a decent general spend card offering 2 mpd on FCY transactions, you can still net a respectable 9 mpd during this offer.
Remember to transfer your KrisPay miles immediately into the KrisFlyer programme after earning, since if they become partially used by mistake or you forget after 21 days, they’ll be stuck in the Kris+ app, where their value is dismal.
