Singapore Airlines has been tweaking its provisional flight schedule for next year’s northern summer season recently, and it’s good news for the carrier’s Amsterdam route, which will see a reintroduction of First Class from July 2026, thanks to the reinstatement of the Boeing 777-300ER.
This will restore a First Class option to the Dutch capital for the first time since May 2016, when the route became the inaugural long-haul destination for Singapore Airlines’ brand new Airbus A350 Long Haul, replacing Boeing 777-300ERs on a daily basis.
The carrier had previously upgraded the route from Boeing 777-200ER operation in April 2014, giving it a First Class option for only two years over the last decade or so.
The July 2026 upgauge will coincide with an Airbus A350 Long Haul being rostered onto a similarly-timed daily London Heathrow service – displacing a 777-300ER for this route – a rare instance of First Class being removed from one of four daily flights to the UK capital.
We strongly suspect this move is designed to showcase SIA’s brand new Business Class product on the key London route from next summer, as we recently reported.
Amsterdam will become the 19th route to have its SIA First Class option restored for at least part of the year. Before COVID-19, 22 of the airline’s cities were regularly served by First Class or Suites products.

The schedule
Singapore Airlines currently operates a single daily service to and from Amsterdam:
- SQ324/323 (A350 Long Haul)
From 1st July 2026, SQ324 will continue daily service but will transition to the four-class Boeing 777-300ER, with SQ323 following suit the following morning, from 2nd July 2026.

Our First Class reviews
SIA’s 2013 First Class seat may not live up to ‘Suite standards’, but it remains one of our favourite products and we’ve always really enjoyed our trips in this cabin.
The intimate single-row section has only four seats in a 1-2-1 layout, including a large void behind the middle pair for the cabin crew to pass between the two aisles while remaining out of sight.

In mid-2018 we concluded our round-the-world trip in First Class on SQ1 from San Francisco to Singapore via Hong Kong in this excellent cabin, and had the chance to thoroughly review it including both a long-haul and short-haul experience across the two stages of the journey.
If you haven’t tried the product, while we probably don’t recommend parting with Advantage award rates, we don’t think you’d be disappointed if a Saver award comes up.
Here’s a more recent review of what you can expect in First Class post-pandemic, though practically all of the COVID restrictions in effect on this Frankfurt to Singapore flight in September 2021 have now been relaxed.
Aside from Suites on the A380, this First Class product is now the only one fitted to Singapore Airlines aircraft, following the retirement of older 2006 First Class seats on the carrier’s (non-ER) Boeing 777-300s.
Book the Cook
Singapore Airlines offers its ‘Book the Cook’ meal pre-ordering service on flights departing from Amsterdam, so this option is available in both directions of the journey.
While currently only Business Class benefits from the option on this route (see the menu here), it will be extended to First Class too once the Boeing 777-300ER is operating next year.

KrisFlyer awards
Here are the current KrisFlyer award rates for the Singapore – Amsterdam route, including for the First Class cabin.

| KrisFlyer Redemption Singapore ⇄ Amsterdam (redemptions till 31 Oct 2025) |
||
| Saver | Advantage | |
| Economy | 42,000 | 70,000 |
| Premium Economy | 71,000 | n/a |
| Business | 103,500 | 123,000 |
| First | 141,000 | 225,500 |
In common with many of the carrier’s other First Class routes, Singapore Airlines is only offering redemptions at the Advantage rate on SQ324/323 services for the time being, though hopefully some Saver options will become available in due course.

It is possible to waitlist for Saver space on certain dates, while PPS Club members may have access to additional award seats, sometimes including immediately-confirmable Saver seats in some cases.
It probably won’t have escaped your attention that Singapore Airlines is devaluing its KrisFlyer award chart for bookings made from 1st November 2025 onwards, as we recently reported.
For Europe flights, including Amsterdam, here’s how award pricing changes for bookings made from 1st November 2025 onwards. For waitlisted flights, if your waitlist clears on or after this date, the higher rate will apply, regardless of when you first joined the waitlist.

| KrisFlyer Redemption Singapore ⇄ Amsterdam (redemptions from 1 Nov 2025) |

| Saver | Advantage | |
| Economy | 44,000 |
79,000 |
| Premium Economy | 74,500 |
n/a |
| Business | 108,500 |
141,500 |
| First | 148,000 |
259,500 |
For First Class it’s the Advantage rate that sees the biggest hit – a 15% hike to 259,500 miles one-way, though the Saver increase of 5% to 148,000 miles still stings a little.
Where else is First Class available?
We recently updated our comprehensive guide to where you’ll find Singapore Airlines’ First Class and Suites products offered on the network between now and March 2026, with 18 cities featuring these flagship products over the next seven months.
As for the summer 2026 season, schedules are still provisional when it comes to aircraft type allocation, but the following flights are currently loaded with a First Class or Suites cabin at the time of writing.

Summary
Singapore Airlines is bringing First Class back to its Amsterdam route for the first time in a decade, which will be a nice enhancement for travellers, thanks to a shift to four-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from 1st July 2026.
While the addition of First Class is always great to see, redemption options at Advantage rates will deter most KrisFlyer members from splurging their miles – let’s hope for some Saver space in this cabin in due course, though it is possible to waitlist for those cheaper awards on some dates already.

I see that the airline offers First Class between SIN and HND on the SQ 636 / SQ 631 pairing. I wonder why this changes to SQ 632 / SQ 633 from July 6, 2026.
Even stranger is the fact that inventory for SQ632/633 are all loaded with 8x F seats for sale, but the current 77W config only has 4x F seats. It’s either an error or there is about to be an aircraft swap in the future.
SQ636/631 will revert to 77W from 17 Aug and at the same time SQ632/633 will also revert to 359MH. Plus, I checked the F seat map and there’s only 4 seats as usual…
