SIA Seats: 2018 RJ Tracker

This is our seat tracker for the Singapore Airlines new regional business class seat (2018 RJ), launched in April 2018 and being progressively rolled out on various routes using the new 787-10 aircraft and the A350 Regional variant.

Note: This daily Taipei flight was operating with the 787-10 from 1st January 2019 until 30th March 2018, when the Rolls-Royce engine issues began. Singapore Airlines managed to continue operating it predominantly with that aircraft type until the end of April 2019, but from 1st May 2019 until 11th June 2019 it was operated by the A330. 787-10 operation does not recommenced on 11th June 2019, but excludes five days from 27th July 2019 to 31st July 2019, which feature the A330.

Tokyo (NRT)

One of the daily Tokyo-Narita flights (SQ638/637) was formerly operated using the Boeing 787-10 with 2018 RJ seats from 18th May 2018 until 26th April 2019, however this switched to the A380 Version 1 from 27th April 2019 onwards.

How to be sure

As these schedules are subject to change and aircraft equipment swaps can be made for operational reasons, you can assure yourself of the new regional business class product by checking the seat map for your flight on the Singapore Airlines website.
