There’s a host of new quarantine-free flight options coming up for those returning to Singapore on regional Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) trips, with Jetstar revealing its designated quarantine-free flight schedule from four additional cities in the Philippines, Thailand and Australia.
In total the Qantas group’s Singapore offshoot Jetstar Asia has loaded an extra 21 VTL flights per week to its existing list of 32 weekly quarantine-free services, on an increased total of nine routes through to October 2022:
Existing
- Bangkok
- Darwin
- Kuala Lumpur
- Melbourne
- Phnom Penh
New
- Clark
- Manila
- Perth
- Phuket
The airline will also restart three times weekly flights between Singapore and Bali from 4th March, as will SIA’s low-cost carrier Scoot, though these are not VTL services yet on the way back to Changi.
Philippines VTL
Jetstar’s six times weekly flights from Clark to Singapore and daily flights from Manila to Singapore will all join the VTL from 4th March 2022, the date the Philippines is added to the quarantine-free scheme, becoming one of the simplest regional travel options, as we recently outlined in our comprehensive guide.
Here’s how Jetstar’s schedule of VTL flights looks from these cities.

How Jetstar shows VTL flights
Like Singapore Airlines, Scoot and several other airlines, Jetstar marks its designated VTL flights through the search results on its website.

Note that on some routes, like Kuala Lumpur, Jetstar is operating non-VTL flights alongside VTL ones, so be sure to select only the marked services to travel quarantine-free under the programme.
Bali is back, but not VTL
Bali has reopened to international tourists, initially with a four-night / five-day hotel “resort quarantine”, which has since been cut to two nights / three days, however there are no approved VTL services back to Singapore at this stage, leaving most travellers facing seven days of SHN at home on their return.
Nonetheless Singapore Airlines has already recommenced daily direct flights to the island, and both Jetstar and Scoot will follow on 4th March, each operating three services per week, providing a low-cost option.

Hopefully we get good news about a further drop in the resort isolation period in Bali and an addition of the route to VTL status for a quarantine-free return to Singapore soon.

Summary
Jetstar will join Scoot and Singapore Airlines on four upcoming VTL routes next month, with a new Philippines arrangement allowing services from Clark and Manila, plus policy and border relaxations in Thailand and Australia meaning that Phuket and Perth can also join the scheme.
This provides more low-cost options on these quarantine-free routes for those on a budget, who now also benefit from a cheaper and more relaxed testing scheme on return to Singapore.
