That’s the equivalent of buying miles at 1.1 cents each with some credit cards, an excellent rate to accrue miles for future flight redemptions.

1.8% fee Lunar New Year offer

If you schedule a CardUp payment on or before 28th February 2023, you’ll be entitled to a discounted 1.8% processing fee using promo code ANGBAO18.

You’ll have to schedule the payment at least 3 business days in advance of the payment due date, to allow for processing time.

Simply enter the code when setting up your payment in the ‘PROMO CODE’ field:

The reduced fee will then be reflected on the next page, where you review your payment:

This promo code can be applied to a one-time transaction, or can apply to the first payment in a weekly or monthly recurring payment series.

The code is not subject to any minimum or maximum payment amount, but is limited to the first 200 redemptions, so act sooner rather than later if you want to take advantage.

The promo code may be redeemed once per user and does not apply:

  • with Mastercard, UnionPay, American Express credit cards and credit cards issued outside of Singapore;
  • on any additional fees incurred for ‘Next Day’ payments;
  • on any international payments to recipients outside of Singapore;
  • in conjunction with any other promotions, offers or discounts.

New users get S$30 off

If you’re new to CardUp, or have signed up but have yet to make a payment using the platform, you’re eligible to use promo code ANGBAO30 and be eligible for S$30 off your first payment scheduled between now and 28th February 2023.

This offer is not capped, but can only be applied once per new user.

A S$30 discount on the regular CardUp fee of 2.6% gives you a fee-free payment of up to S$1,154.

Any unused portion of the offer will not be refunded or carried over to the next payment, so try to make the payment at least S$1,154 to maximise the deal.

Once your payment is S$3,750 or more, it’s better to use the the 1.8% fee offer (ANGBAO18, if it is still available), than this new user S$30 discount offer.

Citi PayAll has a better deal

Citi PayAll has an ongoing deal running from now until 31st January 2023, offering Citi cardholders 1.8 mpd on all payments, provided the total from all payments made through the facility is between S$5,000 and S$80,000 (in total aggregate spend) during the promotion.

Like CardUp, Citi PayAll can be used to pay property rental, education bills, income tax, insurance and other similar expenses.

This allows those with the following cards to buy miles at 1.11 cents each during the promotion, the same or better than the one-time CardUp 1.8% fee offer.
