UOB has launched a new bonus miles deal for its PRVI Miles credit card holders, offering an additional 2.6 mpd on top of the usual earn rates for overseas shopping and dining spend with all three of its cards, between now and the end of June 2023.
This is a repeat of the bank’s November 2022 offer, and is once again higher than the more typical 4.4 mpd bonus rate for promotional spend with these cards.
It’s also a good opportunity for Visa, Mastercard and Amex cardholders to all benefit, with such offers more typically targeted to just one or two of the three card networks.

You’ll have to spend at least S$1,000 within these categories to trigger the bonus earn rate, with an upper cap of 10,400 bonus miles, which you’ll hit with a total of S$4,000 spend.

Overseas Shopping & Dining Campaign

Spend Category | Base miles | Bonus miles | Total miles |
Overseas Shopping (in-store) |
2.4 mpd | + 2.6 mpd | 5 mpd |
Overseas Dining, Groceries & Pharmacies (offline, selected MCCs) |
2.4 mpd | + 2.6 mpd | 5 mpd |
Between 1st May 2023 and 30th June 2023, if you successfully charge at least S$1,000 in the transactions listed above (and further defined below) to your card(s), you’ll be eligible for the bonus miles earning on this spend, up to a maximum of 10,400 bonus miles (i.e. from up to S$4,000 total spend).
If you have multiple UOB PRVI Miles cards, do note that you’ll only be eligible to earn the bonus award of up to 10,400 miles once across all your card accounts during this promotion (not once per PRVI Miles card account).
There is no cap on the usual base earn rate of 2.4 mpd, which you will still be eligible to earn on these transactions, even after your bonus cap is reached.
Only primary cardholders can participate, but eligible transactions made by your supplementary cardholders will count towards the spend for the promotion.
Registration is required
The bonus earn rate is not automatic – you must successfully register to participate in this promotion. That requires principal cardholders to send an SMS to 77862 using their mobile number registered with UOB, in the following format:
![]() PMX [space] Last 4 alphanumeric digits of your NRIC or Passport Number Example: If your NRIC is S1234567A, you will need to send “PMX 567A” to 77862 |
All cardholders are eligible for this promotion, with no upper participant cap.
You must register within the promotion period (i.e. before 30th June 2023), but not necessarily before your first eligible transaction.
5 mpd on overseas shopping
The first bonus category during this promotion is for overseas shopping transactions, which UOB defines as in-store transactions (offline only) processed by the merchant in foreign currency.
Do note that payments made online in foreign currency are not eligible as part of this promotion.
Transactions must code under any one of the following Merchant Category Codes (MCCs):

5 mpd on overseas dining
The second bonus category during this promotion is for overseas dining spend, which UOB defines as in-store food and beverage transactions (i.e. not online transactions), and excluding all food and beverage transactions within hotels and country clubs.
Grocery store, supermarket and pharmacy spend is also included in the bonus category (again, in-store only).
Overseas transactions in this category must be posted on UOB’s systems with any of the following Merchant Category Codes (MCCs):

Currently there’s a great opportunity to pick up one of these cards with a guaranteed 45,200 miles sign-up bonus, if you’re new the UOB credit cards in the last six months and have S$2,000 to spend in the first two months of card membership.
Summary
UOB is back with its generous 10,400 bonus miles cap on point-of-sale overseas shopping and dining, across all three UOB PRVI Miles credit cards, ideal for those with overseas travel coming up between now and the end of June 2023.
You’ll need to clock at least S$1,000 total spend in the bonus categories across the promotion period to be eligible for any additional miles.
At some stage during the promotion you’ll also need to register to participate. Sooner is better than later in our opinion, in case you forget. In fact there is no harm in registering your card, even if you don’t think you’ll participate.
Luckily the deal has no upper registration limit, and your supplementary cardholders can help you along with their own spend in eligible categories.

UOB said all those MCCs are excluded and no bonus miles will be awarded.
