Most of our regular readers are now familiar with Pelago, Singapore Airlines’ own Klook-like “travel experiences platform” launched in late 2020 , offering a range of activities and attraction tickets both in Singapore and overseas at SIA destinations like Bangkok, Phuket and London.
In June 2023, Pelago hiked its year-round KrisFlyer miles earn rate from 1 mpd to 3 mpd, making it a more attractive proposition when booking activities like this, especially with it becoming the only experiences platform featuring additional miles earning.
Now Pelago has announced another new “Miles Rush Week” deal for bonus miles earning on selected bookings.
2,000 miles bonus miles
Between 26th June 2024 and 2nd July 2024, you can earn an additional 2,000 KrisFlyer miles on top of those you would normally accrue, for a single Pelago booking of S$150 or more.
This isn’t as generous as Pelago’s February 2024 offer, which was for 2,500 bonus KrisFlyer miles on bookings of only S$100 or more.

The offer is valid for both new and existing Pelago customers, but is not stackable with other promotions or promo codes.
Here’s how it works:
- Enter promo code PELMRW5 when making your Pelago booking
- Spend a minimum of S$150 in a single booking between 26th June 2024 and 2nd July 2024
- Enter your KrisFlyer membership number during check out
- Complete your booked activity by 31st August 2024
- Bonus miles will be credited by 30th September 2024

The website shows that the promo code ends on 3rd July, rather than 2nd July mentioned in the promotion, so we assume it means 3rd July at 0.00h (book by 11.59pm on 2nd July to be safe).
Each customer can only accrue the 2,000 bonus miles once during this promotion. Full terms and conditions are available here.
For example, if your make a booking during this promotion with a transaction amount of S$150, with the activity on or before 30th August 2024, you will accrue 2,450 KrisFlyer miles under this campaign:
- 450 miles (regular 3 mpd earning credited within one week of the activity having been completed)
- + 2,000 miles (bonus from “Miles Rush Week” by 30th September 2024)
- = 2,450 miles total (16 mpd)
The promo code is set to expire after a certain number of uses (last time round, it was for the first 1,500 users, but this time – who knows?).
The Bonus Miles to be awarded under the Promotion is subject to the availability of Bonus Miles allocated for redemption. Pelago reserves the right to terminate the Promotion in the event Bonus Miles are no longer available for redemption.

It’s probably best to lock in an activity sooner rather than later, while the code remains active.
Do also note that the year-round 3 mpd earning with Pelago activities is now capped at 5,000 miles per booking (S$1,667 spent per transaction).
One way around this for certain experiences with more than one person in your booking, is simply to split into smaller group sizes via separate bookings for the same activity on the same date!
Earn bonus miles at Pelago with the right credit card
Pelago’s payment provider is using the following Merchant Category Code (MCC) when processing credit card payments:
MCC 4722: Travel Agencies and Tour Operators
Pelago bookings also classify as online transactions, giving you the following options to earn up to an additional 4 mpd through your credit card points for these transactions, for 7 mpd equivalent total year-round, or an even better 23 mpd (3 mpd + 16 mpd + 4 mpd) for a booking of exactly S$150 under this latest “Miles Rush Week” promotion.

4 mpd | For online spend, capped at S$1,500 per calendar month. |
Don’t use your Citi Rewards card for Pelago bookings, as MCC 4722 falls under the travel category, specifically excluded from earning the 4 mpd rate for online spend with that card.
It will therefore only earn 0.4 mpd, so it’s probably much better in that case to use your best general spend card, assuming you don’t have one of the above options, or have already hit your monthly bonus cap with these other cards.
The HSBC Revolution card also no longer awards bonus points for MCC 4722 transactions.

Strangely, the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card, which earns 3 mpd for all SIA Group spend including at the KrisShop and more recently on Kris+, still does not award this higher rate for Pelago transactions.
It’s just the basic 1.2 mpd to look forward to in this case – so ideally pick another option from the table above, or failing that a better general spend card!
Summary
Pelago is offering both new and existing users 2,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles on top of the usual accrual rate for a single booking of S$150 or more using promo code PELMRW5 over the next week.
Be sure to use the right credit card when you book, for an additional bonus of up to 4 mpd.
While the latest 2,000 miles deal is a nice boost, the promo code has limited redemptions, so it’s probably worth applying it to an eligible booking sooner rather than later in case it expires before the end of the promotion period.
