About Us KrisFlyer Miles News

Welcome to Mainly Miles

We're here to help you maximise your Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles, and more.

How do you do it? It’s a question we are asked by friends and family all the time, usually after returning from a far-flung place having enjoyed the best airport lounges, the finest luxury hotels, and of course that fantastic Business or First Class flat bed with free-flow champagne, an experience good enough to ensure that the end of each trip is almost as exciting as the start.

Maybe we just have more money than sense, people often think. Maybe we won the lottery? Maybe we spend every cent we have on luxury travel, because we just can’t stand the idea of a 3-star hotel or a 4 hour economy class flight? Actually, none of these  are the case. Almost all our airline travel and many of our hotel stays are achieved using miles and points, exploiting miles earning opportunities, and leveraging the benefits of premium status in hotel and airline loyalty schemes.

In fact on the rare occasion we’re not using miles for a trip, it’s because we found a fantastic deal – which usually involves earning even more miles.

“You should write a blog”, friends would also say. A lot. It became quite annoying, so we finally gave in.

Enter – Mainly Miles. We are Andrew and Eddie, and we designed this as a resource mainly to help you maximise your Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles, as it’s not only our favourite loyalty scheme but as we live in Singapore, it makes a lot of sense for us. We’re going to focus on regularly updating you on the very best earning and redemption opportunities around, so that you can be on your way to your next destination in the comfort of that Business or First Class flat bed much sooner than you think.

  1. Hello Andrew,
    Saw your article on RTPCR test requirements that are being ditched by the Indian Government from Feb 13.
    Question for you;
    How do you conclude that the cut off time of 11am is landing time and not boarding time on the 13th? The GOI notice is ambiguous.
