It’s an exciting time for travel-hungry Singapore residents, not because international borders with popular holiday spots are opening up (that’s still months away it seems), but because hotels across Singapore have been given the green light to accept staycation bookings.
This gives many of us the opportunity to take a break, luxuriate a little or just enjoy a change of scenery after many weeks stuck at home during the recent circuit breaker measures.
With rates from S$80++ per night through to S$650++ per night, there’s a wide range of hotels now available to suit almost all tastes and budgets.
Staycation offers
Here’s a rundown of the staycation offers we’ve seen so far, including our own best picks. We’ll be updating this page to reflect the latest deals as they are announced. If you spot any errors or there are deals we’ve missed, drop us a line in the comments section at the bottom of the page and we’ll update it.
Where specific staycation rates are not published, we have quoted the lowest rate available during August 2020.
Only hotels approved for staycation bookings are included.
Singapore hotel staycation deals are now available at our dedicated page:

Which hotels?
You can check the latest list of approved hotels for staycation bookings, grouped by location and including booking links, at our dedicated page.
There is also a regularly updated list by the Singapore Tourism Board you may wish to bookmark:

Staycation deals aren’t always the best deals
Once you’ve decided which hotel you want to stay at, or which are on your shortlist, don’t simply assume any staycation offer is automatically the best deal for the property.
The prices we’ve listed above aren’t necessarily the best available rates, so it’s worth shopping around including on sites like Expedia and Agoda.
Do bear in mind that hotels generally only load their staycation offers, which clearly differ in value depending on the perks they are throwing in, when you book direct.
If you’re holding the DBS Altitude, DBS WWMC or DBS Woman’s Platinum card in Singapore, there’s a generous 10 mpd offer for staycation bookings between now and the end of 2020 through Agoda.

See our article for full details, as this may work out as a more attractive deal than a staycation offer at some hotels.

The staycation experience
Your staycation in Phase 2 of Singapore’s progressive relaxation of lockdown measures should give you a full experience, with facilities like swimming pools, bars, restaurants and gyms open and available for use.
These facilities will have to operate in accordance with ‘Safe Management Measures’, including social distancing.
Our article from last week outlines how the experience will be a little different in a few places, including staggered check-in times, empty lobbies, in-room welcome drinks and potentially time slots for facilities like swimming pools.
Some hotels are not opening for leisure visits at this stage, since they are designated as government-contracted facilities for COVID-19 quarantine purposes. Some of these hotels are allowed to open however, provided rooms / floors or blocks are segregated between those guests and regular visitors.
Marina Bay Sands is one such example, now accepting staycation guests while also acting as an SHN facility.

Summary
We’ve already missed out on a couple of overseas trips since travel restrictions kicked in, and we know many of you have too. Now that staycations are possible again, this will be the only real option for a getaway for some time, perhaps even for the rest of the year.
There are bound to be more hotels gaining staycation approval and more deals coming through over the coming days and weeks.
Let us know in the comments section below if there are any corrections or you’ve seen other good staycation deals not listed here, and we’ll be sure to add them as we aim to keep this page up to date until overseas travel is possible again.

Hi Andrew! In Shangri-La’s website, the Fun Family Playcation is from $378 and not $318. Am I looking at the wrong link? Look forward to your advise. Thanks!
Thanks Leo, our mistake I think! Corrected to $378.
Shangrila increased the price overnight right after the announcement!
Family Playcation from 318 to 378.
