Many of our readers are keenly anticipating the reopening of the popular Hilton Singapore on Orchard Road, which is accepting bookings from 13th September. The hotel has a staycation offer from S$176++, but it’s the two newly launched ‘foodie staycations’ where the value lies, with not only early check-in, late check out and breakfast thrown in, but also a dinner experience of your choice.
Baseline prices for these staycation packages are based on a Deluxe Room, however you can also combine them with more luxurious categories if you’re happy to spend a bit more.

These are both great deals when you consider the value of the F&B inclusions, effectively reducing the room cost to less than S$60 per night.
Foodie staycation (from S$240++)
This deal includes a dining experience at the hotel’s Opus Bar & Grill during your stay, with two hours of free-flow wine.

Includes the following benefits:
- Stay in a Deluxe Room category for up to 2 adults. Up to 2 children aged 16 years and below stay for free in the same room.
- Daily sumptuous Hilton breakfast.
- Premium Wi-Fi.
- Guaranteed early check-in at Noon and late check-out until 3pm.
- Opus premium sharing steak dinner experience for two persons, inclusive of 2-hour free flow wine (usually $188++).

Choices of steak selection include:
- Signature 1kg U.S. Black Angus bone-in rib eye, dry-aged, marble score 4;
- Wagyu and lobster of 500g Australian Wagyu sirloin and Marine Stewardship Council-certified Boston lobster;
- Best-seller 1.2kg whiskey-aged Rangers Valley Wagyu Tomahawk, 360 days grain-fed, marble score 5.
The foodie staycation is advertised from S$250++, but in fact is widely available at S$240++ between Mondays and Thursdays, then typically prices at S$282++ or S$332++ per night over the weekend.

Gourmet staycation (from S$330++)
The more expensive gourmet staycation includes a five-course Italian tasting menu at the rooftop il Cielo restaurant.

- 5-course Italian tasting menu for two (usually $138++ per person).

The gourmet staycation appears to be available Tuesday – Saturday, probably because Il Cielo restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. It’s advertised starting from S$320++, however we found that S$330++ is the cheapest available rate on this package.

Dream away staycation (S$176++)
The lowest available rate at the Hilton for a staycation in a Deluxe Room is the ‘Dream away’ package from S$176++ per night as a Hilton Honors member (it’s free to join if you aren’t one already).

Nothing special here, just a refundable rate until 24 hours before (for bookings made by 30th September), with early check-in and late check-out subject to availability.
Rates with breakfast start at S$224++ per night, however if you’re Hilton Honors Gold or above you’ll get this included anyway.
Facilities
The Hilton told us their swimming pool and gym will be available once the hotel reopens, under safe management measures with the usual capacity limits we’re becoming used to.

Breakfast will be served in-room from a set menu during this period. Unfortunately the spa is unavailable and the Executive Lounge will remain closed.
Hilton Honors Diamond guests and those staying in Executive Rooms and Suites will instead be offered drinks and snacks from Opus Bar during evening cocktail hours.

Can you combine this with Amex’s offer (spend $400, get $120 back)?
I believe not sadly as these are non-refundable pre-paid rates.
Oh man.. thanks anyway!
