Citi has a new promotion for its Citi Prestige card, offering a S$300 dining voucher for primary cardholders who register and accumulate a total spend in non-SGD transactions of at least S$6,000 between now and the end of March 2023.
The voucher itself is redeemable for one year at one of 38 restaurants in the Unlisted Collection portfolio, 17 of which are in Singapore, including Burnt Ends, Cloudstreet, Esquina and ZEN.
You’ll still earn the usual Citi ThankYou Points, which you can convert into airline miles, for the spend itself.
Registration is required
Enrolment is not automatic – you must successfully register to participate in this promotion. That requires principal cardholders to send an SMS to 72484 using their mobile number registered with Citi, in the following format:
 PRSTSPND [space] Last 4 digits of your Citi Prestige card number Example: If your Citi Prestige card number ends in 1234, you will need to send “PRSTSPND 1234” to 72484 |
Enrolment is limited, which means there’s an unpublished upper participant cap.
It’s therefore best to register sooner rather than later, in order to be eligible, even if you don’t think you’ll participate (if you end up hitting the spend threshold later, you’ll at least get the voucher!).
Thankfully, this is not UOB. Citi will confirm that you have made the cut by sending you an SMS reply stating that your enrolment request “has been received” (it sounds vague, but that means you’re in!).
Eligible spend
Eligible spend to meet the S$6,000 threshold refers to any spend in foreign currency made to your Citi Prestige card between 13th December 2022 and 31st March 2023.
These do not have to be point-of-sale transactions, so both physical overseas spend and online spend in foreign currency will count.
Spend accrued on any of your Citi Prestige supplementary cards will also be added to your main card spend for the purposes of the calculation.
The S$6,000 in qualifying spend will be determined by transaction date, based on Singapore time (UTC+08:00).
The usual spend exclusions apply, as follows:
i. annual fees, interest charges, late payment charges, GST, cash advances, instalment/easy/extended/equal payment plans, preferred payment plans, balance transfers, cash advances, quasi-cash transactions, all fees charged by Citibank or third party, miscellaneous charges imposed by Citibank (unless otherwise stated in writing by Citibank);
ii. funds transfers using the card as source of funds;
iii. bill payments (including via Citibank Online or via any other channel or agent);
iv. payments to educational institutions;
v. payments to government institutions and services (including but not limited to court cases, fines, bail and bonds, tax payment, postal services, parking lots and garages, intra-government purchases);
vi. payments to insurance companies (sales, underwriting, and premiums);
vii. payments to financial institutions (including banks and brokerages);
viii. payments to non-profit organizations;
ix. betting or gambling (including lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting, and wagers at race tracks) through any channel;
x. any top-ups or payment of funds to payment service providers, prepaid cards and any prepaid accounts;
xi. transit-related transactions;
xii. transactions performed at establishments/businesses/merchants that fall within an excluded Merchant Category or a merchant that has been excluded by the bank, as sent out in www.citibank.com.sg/rwdexcl (this list of excluded Merchant Categories or merchants may be updated from time to time at our discretion and Eligible Cardmembers shall refer to this list for any updates)
You’ll also accrue miles for the spend
Remember you’ll also earn at least 2.02 mpd using your Citi Prestige card for transactions in foreign currency, assuming the 0-5 years Citi relationship bonus, good for over 12,000 miles for a spend of S$6,000.
Citigold customers with a 10+ years tenure will receive up to 2.12 mpd.

Do note that Citi charges a 3.25% fee for foreign currency transactions made on the Citi Prestige card, and other cards on the market have better FCY earn rates than this one, so you may be sacrificing miles by diverting spend onto this card to participate in the promotion.
The dining voucher
The S$300 dining voucher gift is valid for any restaurants in the Unlisted Collection, which includes 17 options in Singapore itself, some of which have a Michelin star (or three!).
If you have successfully registered and met the spend condition, you will receive a notification sent via email within three months from the end of the promotion period (i.e. by 30th June 2023) with redemption details for the voucher.
Here are a few things to bear in mind about the S$300 voucher:
- You must collect the voucher yourself from Mojito Redemption @ The Refectory at Braddell Road between 1st July 2023 and 30th September 2023.
- Voucher is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance.
- Voucher is available for single use, with no refund of any unused portion, and any excess payable directly to the restaurant.
- Prior reservations are required to utilise the voucher, subject to availability. You must contact the restaurants directly to book, some of which may require a reservation months ahead of time.
- Citi does not guarantee that you will be able to get a reservation at your restaurant of choice.

48,000 miles sign-up bonus
Citi is currently offering a 48,000 miles sign-up bonus for those new to the Citi Prestige card in the last 12 months, including those who haven’t held the card in this timeframe but do currently have other cards with the bank, like the Citi PremierMiles card.

Summary
Citi is offering its Prestige cardholders a generous S$300 voucher for meeting a S$6,000 spend in FCY transactions between now and the end of March 2023.
That’s worth 5% cashback, if you place face value on the voucher itself, which means you’ll want it to be something you will definitely use!
Be sure to register now for the promotion, even if you don’t intend to participate, as slots are limited and you never know – you may go on to make the spend anyway, in which case the voucher will be a nice treat!
