HSBC continues to roll out occasional ‘WOW on Weekend’ Singapore staycation deals, even now that most international borders are fully open for test-free and quarantine-free travel, though unfortunately that very freedom has driven up hotel costs at home, making these far from the deals they used to be.
This weekend the offer is back, with a discounted rate at The Shangri-La Valley Wing going live between 2nd June and 4th June, for stay dates through to the end of September 2023.
If you are interested then you will want to be quick once the offer goes live at midnight on Thursday night (00:00h on Friday), since the best rate is available only for the first 50 bookings through the dedicated link.

This deal sits alongside some dining, wellness and other WOW on Weekend promotions for HSBC cardholders, though it’s the only staycation this time. You can check out the full list here.
Which card?
WOW on Weekend offers are open to all HSBC Singapore cardholders, but wherever possible, you should be using your HSBC Revolution credit card for these bookings, to earn 4 mpd on the first S$1,000 spend at hotels per calendar month.

Summary
Staycations have definitely taken a back seat among our readers over the last year, given the reopening of international travel, but that’s not stopping HSBC including them in its WOW on Weekend sale from time to time, though there’s just one local hotel included in this month’s lineup.
If you are interested in the Shangri-La Valley Wing deal it’s worth staying up till midnight on Thursday to make your booking via the dedicated link (just as the clock strikes 00:00 on Friday), otherwise you run the risk of the cheapest 50 bookings inventory being exhausted.
As always, the HSBC Revolution card is the one to use, giving you 4 mpd for the spend (up to S$1,000 per calendar month in bonus categories), or you could use this deal to clock up spend towards the sign-up bonus on the new T1 card.
