Priority Pass adds selected restaurants at Changi Airport

Priority Pass members can now redeem lounge visits for dining credits instead at four restaurants in Singapore Changi Airport.

Back in 2018, Priority Pass began allowing members to use their regular annual lounge visit allowance to instead redeem a fixed dining credit or a set menu at selected airport restaurants, which has become an increasingly popular option in the programme, now offered at many locations around the world.

Many of our readers will recall that this was available at TGM in Changi Airport Terminal 2 pre-pandemic, but for the last three years in Singapore there has been no such option.

Priority Pass restaurants at Changi Airport are back

Priority Pass has announced that effective from 21st June 2023, four restaurants at Changi Airport have joined the programme, in addition to a dining offer at two other outlets, once again opening up this alternative for members.

These are also available to LoungeKey members. Participating restaurants are shown below.

For 4 Fingers Crispy Chicken in the T1 Transit Area or the T3 Public Area, the offer for Priority Pass members is for two complimentary chicken wings with every order of a combo meal, without deducting a lounge visit from your account (membership card must be shown).

At all other restaurants shown above, Priority Pass cardholders can use their lounge visit entitlement to take advantage of one set menu designated by each of these restaurants per 24-hour period.

The newly-opened Crystal Jade Go at Changi Airport T4 is now offering a menu for Priority Pass members

A set menu represents a single lounge visit within the cardholder’s existing lounge visit allocation. For example, if a cardholder registers one guest, their guest will also be eligible to take advantage of one set menu, charged as one cardholder visit + one guest visit on the cardholder’s account.

Those with a Priority Pass via the Citi Prestige card will benefit most here – since one guest visit is free with that membership type (and since it’s unlimited, you can then head to a Priority Pass lounge anyway!).

While some of these outlets are in the Public Area at Changi Airport, do note that a valid Priority Pass card and a same-day boarding pass is required to be presented, before placing your order.

Accompanying guest visits, or those used over and above your annual allocation, are typically charged at US$32 per person per visit.

Plaza Premium lounges are back on Priority Pass

This development comes as 63 Plaza Premium lounges have joined the Priority Pass network this month, most of them re-joiners, including the popular one at Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Alongside these new dining options, this now opens up a wide variety of both lounges and restaurants available for members to use through the programme, which is great news for members.

Summary

If it’s the food you tend to head to an airport lounge for first, rather than having a space to relax for an hour or two, it’s definitely worth checking out whether Priority Pass offers a dining option alternative at your departure airport, either via a fixed credit or a set menu for members to enjoy for one visit deduction.

Some of those options are now available at Singapore Changi Airport again, and while we have yet to see the set menus themselves, it may be worth taking a look first before simply heading to a lounge as usual.

If you’re passing through Changi Airport over the coming weeks, do let us know in more detail what each restaurant is offering Priority Pass members!

    1. Hi for Amex Platinum can we take the food voucher and then subsequently visit the lounge. Since our visit is unlimited

      1. No, those issued by AMEX do not have restaurant experiences, so hopefully there will be some changes by PP but for now its not included. If the restaurant do let you redeem, you may have to pay for it.

  1. Possible to visit two different resturant within same day for example use PP entry on Chutney Mary Indian Fast Food & Kaveri Indian Vegetarian? the t&c allow 1 entry used for every 24hrs

    1. Yes I believe it’s one visit per restaurant every 24h. So you could do both if you have sufficient visit entitlement.
