UOB has launched a new promotion over the next 11 weeks, offering its PRVI Miles cardholders an enhanced earn rate of up to 8 miles per S$1 spent on hotels, flight bookings and travel transactions with major airlines, hotels, Agoda, Expedia and UOB Travel between now and 30th November 2023.
This is in the form of a 2 mpd enhancement on the regular year-round earn rates for these transactions, and could come in handy if you’re making travel plans for later in the year, or even into 2024.
UOB PRVI Miles 2 mpd bonus on travel spend
Here’s how UOB presents this latest offer for its PRVI Miles cardholders.
To unlock the bonus miles you’ll need to spend at least S$2,000 in travel transactions, in local or foreign currency, during the promotion period between 18th September 2023 and 30th November 2023.
The enhanced earn rate including the 2 mpd bonus in each category is then capped at S$4,000 spend during this promotion, after which any subsequent eligible spend reverts back to the year-round uncapped rates of 1.4 mpd, 2.4 mpd or 6 mpd, as shown above.
If you can maximise the offer, that means earning an additional 8,000 miles (i.e. 2 mpd bonus x S$4,000).
Spend made by supplementary cardholders will be combined with that of the principal cardholder for the purposes of this offer.
Registration is required
The bonus earn rate is not automatic – you must successfully register to participate in this promotion. That requires principal cardholders to send an SMS to 77862 using their mobile number registered with UOB, in the following format:
 PMQ3 [space] Last 4 alphanumeric digits of your NRIC or Passport Number Example: If your NRIC is S1234567A, you will need to send “PMQ3 567A” to 77862 |
All cardholders are eligible for this promotion, with no upper participant cap.
You must register within the promotion period (i.e. before 30th November 2023), but not necessarily before your first eligible transaction.
How it works
To benefit from the bonus 2 mpd earn rate, you’ll have to make at least S$2,000 spend across the following eligible categories between 18th September 2023 and 30th November 2023:
- Online or in-person transactions made at major airlines, lodging (including hotels), online travel agencies and/or regular travel agencies with their main business activity classified as airlines, lodging or travel services
- Online travel bookings made at expedia.com.sg/prvimiles
- Online travel bookings made at agoda.com/prvimiles
- Online travel bookings made at prvi.uobtravel.com

Expedia deal
To benefit from the enhanced earn rate of 8 mpd at Expedia using your UOB PRVI Miles card, you’ll have to book through the dedicated microsite at expedia.com.sg/prvimiles.
Don’t forget, a minimum spend of S$2,000 across all the categories listed above is required to unlock the enhanced earn rate.

Eligible flight bookings are those made with one of the following airlines:

- Gulf Air
- Hawaiian Airlines
- Korean Air
- Myanmar International Airways

Obviously some popular carriers including Singapore Airlines are missing from the list, but there are still potentially some useful options including Korean Air, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways.
Remember you can still benefit from 3.4 mpd (SGD) or 4.4 mpd (non-SGD) when booking Singapore Airlines tickets (or those with other airlines not listed above) directly with your UOB PRVI Miles card under this offer, without using Expedia.
Qatar Airways in particular has guaranteed its fantastic Qsuite product on all Singapore flights through to at least March 2024 – definitely one to try out if you haven’t already.
Package bookings comprising an eligible hotel and an eligible flight, as defined individually above, booked in a single transaction on the dedicated microsite, will also be eligible.
It probably goes without saying, but your booking(s) must be charged to your UOB PRVI Miles card for the bonus miles to apply – use of the microsite with payment by any other card will not count!

Agoda deal
To benefit from the enhanced earn rate of 8 mpd at Agoda using your UOB PRVI Miles card, you’ll have to book through the dedicated microsite at agoda.com/prvimiles.

You must make a booking for hotels that have the “Earn up to 6 miles per 1 SGD spend” banner on the property room type results page, in order for your stay to be eligible for the bonus earn rate.
Payment must be made with your UOB PRVI Miles Card with Agoda being the party receiving and handling the payment (prepaid room types only). The offer is not valid for pay at hotel rates.

UOB Travel deal

Once again Singapore Airlines is an annoying omission (3.4 mpd or 4.4 mpd is still available with a direct booking), but in addition to the Expedia list there’s the option here for 8 mpd with the likes of British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad and Starlux.

When do the bonus miles credit?
Initially your transactions will earn at the basic rate of 1.4 mpd, 2.4 mpd or 6 mpd, based on the year-round rate for these spend categories.
The additional bonus 2 mpd element will be credited by 5th January 2024.
Miles are awarded as UNI$, which convert 1:2 into the KrisFlyer and Asia Miles programmes, but are only awarded per S$5 of eligible spend.

Summary
If you’re making travel plans for the rest of this year or for 2024 and can lock in your bookings between now and 30th November 2023, it’s worth considering this UOB PRVI Miles option for an additional 2 mpd on most eligible spend in this category.
At the top end, this will net you 8 mpd via Expedia, Agoda or UOB Travel, if your flight, hotel or package fall into the eligible categories, but 3.4 mpd or 4.4 mpd are also available across a wider range of travel spend, including directly-booked Singapore Airlines tickets.
Remember that with Expedia and UOB Travel flights must be operated by an airline on the eligible list for 8 mpd, and most importantly a minimum S$2,000 spend across eligible categories applies to trigger the +2 mpd bonus.
Also, only cumulative bookings of up to S$4,000 made during the promotion will benefit – additional spend after that is back to the usual year-round rates, so don’t go too mad!
