In April 2023 UOB offered us a rare uncapped sign-up bonus for its PRVI Miles credit cards, and the good news is the bank has now extended this deal through to the end of October 2023, with 45,200 additional miles on offer for spending S$1,000 per month over the first two months – no questions asked.
This requires payment of the first year annual fee of S$259.20, but means the opportunity to buy miles for 0.57 cents each, assuming you had S$2,000 of spend coming up over the next couple of months anyway.

Here’s how the deal is structured.
45,200 bonus miles for new sign-ups
Provided you’re a new UOB credit card holder, simply apply and have your card approved between 1st October 2023 and 31st October 2023 and you’ll get a 45,200 miles bonus, provided you:
- charge at least S$1,000 in eligible transactions per month for two consecutive months from your card approval date, and
- make payment for the card’s annual fee of S$259.20, and
- send an SMS to 77862 using your mobile number which is (or will be) registered with UOB, in the following format:
![]() PMAF [space] Last 4 alphanumeric digits of your NRIC or Passport Number Example: If your NRIC is S1234567A, you will need to send “PMAF 567A” to 77862 |
All new cardholders are eligible for this promotion, with no upper participant cap.
You must register to participate via SMS as outlined above by 30th November 2023 (we advise to just do it as soon as you receive your card, in case you forget later).
- are not currently an existing principal cardholder of a UOB credit card; and
- have not have cancelled their UOB credit card as a principal cardholder within 6 months prior to the commencement of the promotion period
That means provided you cancelled your last UOB credit card on 30th March 2023 or earlier, you’re eligible again for the sign-up bonus.
Do note that UOB advertises this sign-up offer as “50,000 miles”, because it includes 4,800 miles you would earn by making all of your S$2,000 spend on overseas transactions (at 2.4 mpd).

That’s very much a best-case scenario and includes miles you would almost certainly earn with other cards if you made the same spend on those instead. The true bonus is 45,200 miles.
Spend period
The qualifying spend period for your two sets of S$1,000+ transactions in this promotion is defined as two monthly periods from your card approval date.
For example, if your card is approved on 10th October 2023, you will need to fulfil the following spend:
- S$1,000+ between 10th October 2023 and 9th November 2023; and
- S$1,000+ between 10th November 2023 and 9th December 2023
Note that you cannot simply spend S$2,000 in the first week of approval and still receive the bonus, since you would not trigger the spend requirement in the second period. Do be careful with this.
Spend made by your supplementary cardholder(s) will be counted towards the qualifying spend requirement for the principal cardholder.
Qualifying spend
For the spend bonus, your two sets of S$1,000+ (S$2,000+ total) will have to comprise retail transactions made online or in person in either SGD or foreign currency.
There are some exclusion categories to be aware of though, including:
- Charitable donations
- Education payments
- Gambling transactions
- GrabPay top-ups
- Hospital payments
- Insurance payments
- UOB Payment Facility transactions
- Utilities payments
When will you receive the bonus?
The bonus miles will be credited in two batches, but both by the same final date:
- UNI$10,000 (20,000 miles) for payment of the first year annual fee will be credited to your account by 29th February 2024 .
- UNI$12,600 (25,200 miles) welcome bonus will be credited to your account by 29th February 2024.
Note that you will need to fulfil all the requirements of the promotion to receive both sets of bonus miles.
This is a rare annual fee bonus for the UOB PRVI Miles cards, and is the equivalent of buying KrisFlyer miles or Asia Miles for a very competitive 0.57 cents each, once the total 45,200 miles bonus is accounted for.
Usually, payment of the annual fee for this card in Year 2 onwards comes with no miles bonus, except for PRVI Miles Amex cardholders who get a 20,000 miles bonus each year only if they accrued a S$50,000+ spend in the previous membership year.
Terms and Conditions
Full terms and conditions for the sign-up offer are available here.
This includes the full list of excluded transactions, when considering the S$2,000 minimum spend to trigger the bonus miles (see 1.4 (c)).
Annual fee waiver offer
UOB is also offering new PRVI Miles cardholders the option to waive the annual fee and get a lower 25,200 miles bonus for the same spend requirement as the main offer.
However, this one is a more typical UOB “capped” deal – only the first 200 cardholders to meet the spend requirement will be eligible.
We therefore strongly recommend the main uncapped deal, any in any event payment of the annual fee is more than worth it for the additional miles you’ll receive anyway.
If you are interested in the capped offer, the Terms and Conditions are available here.
Our review
The UOB PRVI Miles card isn’t a bad one to hold, earning 1.4 mpd on local spend and 2.4 mpd overseas.
There are even some bonus rates like 6 mpd on Agoda and Expedia and regular bonus offers throughout the year, like 5 mpd on overseas spend for limited periods.

A major factor to note with these cards is that you’ll only earn UNI$ (which convert at a 1:2 ratio into KrisFlyer miles or Asia Miles) for S$5+ spending blocks. Spend S$4.99 and you will walk away empty-handed!
When choosing between the cards, you may wish to note that the PRVI Miles Amex version also boasts 20,000 bonus miles for a S$50k+ annual spend, as we mentioned above.
Summary
UOB has extended its generous 45,200 miles sign-up bonus for new-to-bank cardholders who sign up for one of its PRVI Miles cards, are approved by 31st October 2023, and spend S$2,000 in the first two months (at least S$1,000 in each monthly period).
What’s good about this promotion is that there’s still no upper cap – everyone is eligible simply for paying the first year annual fee of S$259.20, the equivalent of “buying” miles at a highly competitive 0.57 cents each.
If you’re not a principal UOB cardholder or haven’t been for the last six months, this is a great time to jump in and benefit from this generous deal.
For those who don’t want to pay the first year annual fee for this card, UOB has a poorer 25,200 miles bonus on offer, but this is capped at the first 200 cardholders to hit the same spend requirement, and there’s no way to guarantee you would be one of them.
Stick to the guaranteed offer, which is more than worth paying the fee for given the higher miles bonus anyway.
