KrisFlyer has announced that it will be launching a range of deals on Friday 7th March 2025, with ticket offers, bonus miles earning and – perhaps most notably for our readers – an upsized Spontaneous Escapes deal, which should allow you to redeem award seats for an even bigger discount than usual.
The promotion was teased yesterday on the group’s social media pages.
While there are no further details published about the offer yet, make sure you’re online at 4pm on Friday 7th March 2025 for the launch, to be first in line to redeem this ‘upsized’ offer.
What could be in store?
As most of our readers know, Spontaneous Escapes is KrisFlyer’s monthly award redemption discount, offering 30% off the usual Saver miles rate for a two-week period, for those who can make firm travel plans the following month.
February was no exception, with a wide range of destinations included in the deal for travel during March 2025.
That’s not the best Spontaneous Escapes has had to offer over the years though.
Previously, the deal has offered 51% off award tickets in Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class for a two-month period, in early 2020.
Back in February 2019 an even better deal was offered in many cases, with Business Class awards available at Saver Economy rates for travel in March that year – a discount of 45% to 61%, depending on the redemption zone. That month, Economy Class awards were half price (50% off).
While we can’t be sure exactly what an ‘upsized’ deal will look like this month, something along these lines would be very welcome, potentially for travel in April and perhaps even May too (two-month offers occasionally come along).
Of course in the worst case KrisFlyer could just be planning a two-month Spontaneous Escapes redemption (e.g. for April and May 2025) at the usual 30% discount, which would fall a bit flat with our readers, but we’re hoping and expecting an ‘upsized’ offer to be more than just that!
Deal goes live at 4pm on Friday
KrisFlyer has announced that this upsized Spontaneous Escapes deal will go live at 4pm Singapore Time on Friday 7th March 2025, around a week earlier than the usual monthly offer is launched.
That should be a good time to be online and be the first to benefit from the deal, especially if you have travel plans coming up and you’re looking to burn through some of your KrisFlyer miles at a discounted rate.
It should also be the same time the other parts of this promotion go live – set to include other deals, giveaways and bonus miles opportunities, which might also be of interest even if you’re not planning to travel soon.
Summary
