Kris+ is offering a bonus miles promotion over the next few days at Audio House in Singapore, with the usual 1 mpd accrual when you pay for your purchase supplemented by a fixed additional reward of up to 5,000 miles for larger purchases, which comes in addition to up to 4 mpd when you use the right credit card to pay.

That can inflate your total earning on some potentially big ticket items like electronics and home appliances to the equivalent of 6 mpd during this promotion, if you hit the ‘optimum’ S$5,000 spend level.

Up to 5,000 bonus miles with Kris+ at Audio House

This promotion is running for in-store purchases made via the Kris+ app between 7th March 2025 and 19th March 2025.

The bonus miles are awarded based on your total spend, as shown below.

You will only earn one of the bonus amounts listed above – the highest one based on your total spend in a single transaction.

Simply make payment via Apple Pay or Google pay via the Kris+ app at the checkout as usual.

Obviously the highest effective total miles per dollar rate for a transaction is achieved at the lowest spend level in each category, for example:

• Exactly S$1,500
  1,500 base miles + 1,200 bonus = 2,700 miles (1.8 mpd)
• Exactly S$3,000
  3,000 base miles + 2,500 bonus = 5,500 miles (1.83 mpd)
• Exactly S$5,000
  5,000 base miles + 5,000 bonus = 10,000 miles (2 mpd)

The further your total spend moves into the same bonus category, the lower the overall effective earn rate.

Each participant can only earn the bonus once during the promotion, so if for example you have two separate eligible purchases coming up, consider using a different Kris+ account to earn the bonus on the second one (e.g. a couple with two purchases can earn up to 5,000 bonus miles each).

When will the bonus credit?

Initially you’ll earn the regular year-round 1 mpd for Audio House purchases via Kris+ when you make your payment.

The bonus miles for each eligible transaction made during the promotion will then be credited to your Kris+ account as KrisPay miles by 9th April 2025 – three weeks after the promotion ends.

About Audio House

Audio House has one seven-storey flagship store above Ubi MRT in Singapore, open from 12.30pm to 9pm daily, and and as always miles earning via Kris+ is for in-store transactions only (online spend is not applicable).

Kris+ had a 3 mpd flash deal at Audio house in late 2023, and a 2 mpd offer in July 2024, but while we aren’t back at those uncapped / no min. spend levels with this offer, it does inflate the potential maximum earn rate well above several other electronics and appliance stores that are also Kris+ earning partners:

• Audio House: Up to 2 mpd (7 Mar – 19 Mar 2025)
• Challenger: 1 mpd
• Harvey Norman: 1 mpd
• Parisilk: 1 mpd
• iStudio: 1 mpd

That could make Audio House your go-to for electronics or appliance purchases like TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners, over the next few days.

Use the right credit card for an additional 4 mpd

Audio House transactions made via the Kris+ app will code under MCC 5732: Electronics Stores, and that means you can tap into some 3 mpd and 4 mpd earn rates with a variety of Singapore-issued credit cards.

Those miles are issued by your bank, so they come on top of the miles Kris+ is offering, and of course that means up to 6 mpd total effective earning at the optimal S$5,000 purchase level between now and 19th March.

Here’s an example of the cards which should give you upwards of 4 mpd for Audio House purchases made through Kris+ with in-app payment.

Be careful not to use Citi Rewards cards to make in-app payments on Kris+, since mobile wallet payments are specifically excluded from that card’s bonus miles earning, regardless of the merchant MCC.

Remember there is now no cap on 3 mpd earning for Kris+ transactions made using the KrisFlyer UOB credit card – so that’s a nice hassle-free option at Audio House during this promotion.

How to earn miles with Kris+ when purchasing

Since September 2021, in-app payments have been the only way to earn Kris+ miles when purchasing in-store at an earning partner like Audio House.

The process is straightforward, just scan the Kris+ QR code at the checkout and make payment using Apple Pay or Google Pay with your linked credit card.

The app then credits your miles instantly, which you can then transfer immediately to your KrisFlyer account. You only have 21 days to do so, and KrisPay miles earned per transaction can only be transferred to your KrisFlyer account in their entirety.

We therefore recommend transferring to KrisFlyer immediately following any Kris+ earning transaction, in case you either forget or make a mistake later.

With this promotion, it’s especially important to watch out for those bonus miles crediting by 9th April 2025, since the 21-day transfer clock to KrisFlyer will then start ticking for that batch as well.

Other Kris+ earning options

If you’re not using Kris+ to earn additional miles for dining, retail, wellness or other goods and services in Singapore, then you’re potentially missing out on thousands of additional KrisFlyer miles each year.

The “lifestyle app” has progressively extended its reach across many popular (and admittedly some less well-known) outlets right across the country over the last few years.

You can also use KrisPay miles at Audio House

The Kris+ app still gives you the option to use KrisPay miles in your Kris+ wallet to pay for your Audio House purchase, or offset part of its cost.

Unfortunately this remains at the regular value of 0.67 cents per mile when redeeming miles for Kris+ transactions, which is quite terrible.

It’s therefore not something you’ll want to be doing unless you have KrisPay miles stuck in the Kris+ app, which cannot be transferred to your KrisFlyer account. Even then, bonus redemption offers do occasionally come up, so provided your KrisPay miles are not expiring in this example it can still be better to hold off for one of these.

Kris+ is offering up to 5,000 bonus miles for in-store purchases at Audio House until 19th March 2025, translating to an effective earn rate of up to 2 mpd.

By using the right credit card, this can be increased to a total of 6 mpd, assuming the optimum S$5,000 spend level.

Bonus miles will be credited by 9th April 2025, and they must be transferred to KrisFlyer within 21 days to avoid expiry.

Each Kris+ account is limited to one bonus, so those making multiple purchases may need to use multiple accounts to maximise earnings during the promotion.
