Since April 2025, the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and yuu Rewards Club partnership has been a two-way street, allowing members to convert KrisFlyer miles into yuu Points as well as the other way round.
The problem has always been the ratio. At 1:1.325 it valued your miles at just 0.66 cents each, which we described at the time as poor value – and it was, sitting near the bottom of every cash-out option available to you.
From 1st September 2026 that ratio improves to 1:1.5, with the minimum transfer size also dropping. It’s a nice improvement, but it stops well short of the 1 cent per mile baseline that now applies for ‘cash-out’ transfers within the SIA Group ecosystem.
It’s also the second such adjustment this year, after Singapore Airlines gave the Marriott Bonvoy transfer ratio a 50% hike in April.
What’s changed from 1st September 2026
You’ll now receive 1.5 yuu Points for every 1 KrisFlyer mile you convert, up from 1.325 previously – a 13% improvement.

At the same time the minimum transfer size falls from 2,000 KrisFlyer miles to 1,600 miles, with transfers still made in single-mile increments above that.
The 80,000 KrisFlyer miles annual cap (1st January – 31st December) remains unchanged.
How to transfer
To transfer your KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points, log on via the desktop site, then go to Profile > Partner Programmes.
Simply click ‘Convert your miles’ then scroll down to ‘Other redemption options’ and click the yuu link.
Then simply complete the conversion form, including your yuu Rewards account number, if not already linked.
Upon your first successful conversion, your KrisFlyer account will be automatically linked to your yuu account. Once the accounts are linked, this cannot be changed.
Once a conversion from KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points is completed, it cannot be reversed and/or refunded.
Transfer the new 1,600 miles minimum and you’ll receive 2,400 yuu Points. Send those straight back to KrisFlyer and you’d end up with just 667 miles – a 58% haircut for changing your mind, so don’t experiment with this!
Transfers are instant in both directions, and there’s no conversion fee.
Is it worth it?
Better, but still not really.
yuu Points are worth 0.5 Singapore cents each, so at the new 1:1.5 ratio you’re cashing out your KrisFlyer miles at 0.75 cents each.
That’s a step up from 0.66 cents, and it lifts yuu out of the basement of our cash-out table. But it doesn’t get you even to the baseline number that now matters.
Since July 2025, Singapore Airlines has standardised the value of your miles at 1 cent each across Kris+, KrisShop, Pelago and Miles + Cash offsets on SIA and Scoot fares.
To bring yuu Points into line with that level, the ratio would have needed to go to 1:2. It’s gone to 1:1.5 instead, still leaving you 25% short.

Where necessary in this table, a miles redemption value for a Singapore Airlines flight is assumed at 1.9 cents.
Note that yuu Points aren’t climbing past much here. The 0.75 cents on offer is exactly where Marriott Bonvoy landed when Singapore Airlines hiked that transfer ratio by 50% back in April 2026, taking it from 2:1 to 4:3.
Both now sit on the same rung – better than they were, but still a quarter below the 1 cent floor that Singapore Airlines applies across its own platforms.
When it might make sense
The improved ratio doesn’t change our basic advice – a flight redemption almost always remains far and away the best use of your KrisFlyer miles, and you can lock one in up to a year ahead even if your miles expire tomorrow.
Where a yuu transfer does come into play is for expiring miles you genuinely can’t use any other way.
The lower 1,600 mile minimum makes it easier to extract a small orphan balance without dipping into miles you want to keep, and transfers above that threshold are made in single-mile increments, so you can take out exactly what’s expiring and no more.
In all honesty though, Kris+ has a 10 mile minimum and pays 1 cent, while KrisShop lets you slide the miles portion of any purchase up or down to extract precisely what’s expiring. Both beat yuu on flexibility and value.
The one thing yuu offers that they don’t is its merchant network. If your weekly spend runs through Cold Storage, Giant, Guardian or foodpanda rather than the Kris+ merchant list, points that you can transfer somewhere you’ll actually use them may be worth more to you than a slightly better rate somewhere you likely won’t.
yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles
As we mentioned earlier, it’s been possible to transfer yuu Points into KrisFlyer miles since October 2024.
This allows you to convert yuu Points into KrisFlyer miles at a ratio of 3.6:1, a rate that’s unchanged by the September 2026 revision.

You’ll need to convert a minimum of 200 yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles per transfer, thereafter transfers can be made in single-point increments.
There is no cap on the number of transfers you can make from yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles, nor any upper cap on the total transfer quantity per year.
This alternative to the yuu programme’s traditional cashback offering, which of course still remains an option for members, means that transferring your points to KrisFlyer miles instead only makes sense if you value the latter at a higher rate than the regular rebates offered.
At this rate you’re effectively acquiring KrisFlyer miles at 1.8 cents each, giving up 1.8 cents of yuu rebate value for every mile. That’s right on the line of what we typically value a KrisFlyer mile at, so it only really pays off if you’re consistently redeeming for premium cabins where the return runs well above that.
You can transfer yuu Rewards points to KrisFlyer miles via the yuu app on your smartphone (App Store | Google Play Store).
Prior to your first transfer from yuu to KrisFlyer, you’ll need to confirm your KrisFlyer account number. You can then proceed with your transfer.
Tip: Transfer at optimal ratios
While the headline ratio for yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles conversion is 3.6:1, this rounds up to the next whole KrisFlyer mile when converting, so a transfer of 353 – 356 yuu Points (98.1 – 98.9 miles at the 3.6:1 ratio) will give you 99 miles in your account.
In this case, the ratio is actually slightly better at the lower end (i.e. don’t waste 356 yuu Points for 99 miles when 353 yuu Points will give you exactly the same thing!).
The best ratio you can get here is therefore at the lower end – 209 yuu Points to 59 KrisFlyer miles (3.542:1).
For example, if you have 2,090 yuu Points, those will give you 581 KrisFlyer miles when processed as a single conversion. Instead – just make 10 separate transfers of 209 yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles, which will give you 590 KrisFlyer miles in total.
It may not seem like much, but every mile is valuable!
Summary
You can now transfer KrisFlyer miles to yuu Points at a 1:1.5 ratio, rather than 1:1.325, with the minimum transfer size dropping from 2,000 miles to 1,600 miles.
Both changes are welcome, and at 0.75 cents per mile this is no longer the near-worst option on the board, but it’s still 25% below the 1 cent per mile you can get from the likes of Kris+, KrisShop, Pelago or a Miles + Cash offset.
Many of those are available with lower minimums or full flexibility over how many miles you use, weakening the case for a yuu Points transfer even further.
In the other direction, converting yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles at 3.6:1 is unchanged, and remains the more interesting side of this partnership for most of our readers.
As always, none of these come close to a Saver award in a premium cabin. Treat the yuu option as what it is – a tidy way to clear expiring miles if you shop at yuu merchants, but nothing more.
