There’s a new benefit for Citi Prestige cardholders in Singapore that may be of interest if you regularly shop or dine in the Marina Bay Sands complex, with a complimentary upgrade to the Sands LifeStyle Prestige membership tier now on offer.
This status level is valid for 12 months if you redeem by 30th November 2023, extendable by up to a further 12 months when you meet specific spend criteria in your first membership year.
Citi Prestige Sands LifeStyle membership
This offer allows you to redeem complimentary Sands LifeStyle membership upgrade to the Prestige tier when you present your Citi Prestige card at any Sands LifeStyle Counter at Marina Bay Sands.
You will have to go down in person to unlock your status upgrade at one of the following locations:
- Lobby, Hotel Tower 1
Daily: 10am – 10.30pm - The Shoppes, B1 (above Sampan Rides)
Daily: 10am – 11pm - The Shoppes, B2 (near Digital Light Canvas)
Daily: 10am – 11pm
Here’s how it works:
Apply between now and 30th November 2023
All Citi Prestige cardmembers will be eligible for a complimentary 12-month membership upgrade to The Sands
Lifestyle membership Prestige Tier.
Citi Prestige cardmembers who achieve a minimum spend of $5,000 within the initial 12-month period from the date of upgrade will enjoy a second 12-month period at Prestige Tier, commencing immediately after the first period expires. In the case of cardmembers who do not meet the minimum spend amount, they will be downgraded to the Lifestyle tier at the end of the initial 12-month period.
Apply 1st December 2023 and 30th April 2024
All Citi Prestige cardmembers will be eligible for a complimentary 3-month membership upgrade to The
Sands Lifestyle membership Prestige Tier.
Citi Prestige cardmembers who achieve a minimum spend of $1,500 within the initial 3-month period from the date of upgrade will enjoy another 9-month period at Prestige Tier, commencing immediately after the first period expires. In the case of cardmembers who do not meet the minimum spend amount, they will be downgraded to the Lifestyle tier at the end of the initial 3-month period.

Sands LifeStyle Prestige benefits
The Sands LifeStyle Prestige tier usually requires S$5,000 of accumulated spend in a 12-month period, but Citi Prestige cardholders can unlock this status level straight away.
Benefits include:
- Up to 20% instant Resort Dollars at over 250 outlets
- 10% savings on hotel room rate
- Preferential earning of up to 10% instant Resort Dollars at selected restaurants
- 10% savings on Banyan Tree Spa à la carte massages, packages and Banyan Tree Fitness Club Personal Training packages
- Complimentary tickets to Marina Bay Sands attractions (up to 2 tickets per day per attraction, capped at 2 per calendar month):
- Digital light canvas
- Sampan rides
- SkyPark Observation Deck
- 1-for-1 ArtScience Museum exhibition tickets (up to 4 tickets per month)
Resort Dollars are the MBS loyalty currency, and all Sands LifeStyle members including those with the Prestige tier can redeem these at a 1:1 rate for:
- Hotel stays
- Banyan Tree Spa
- Attractions
- Entertainment
- Gift Shops
- Participating MBS restaurants
As you can see there is also a secondary redemption tier, valid for participating outlets like electronics stores and fashion stores, whereby Prestige members can redeem S$1.10 Resort Dollars for a S$1.00 rebate (a slightly better rate than basic members, who need S$1.20 Resort Dollars for a S$1.00 rebate).
Bear in mind, however, it’s a poorer rate than you’ll get for the specific MBS outlets outlined above, which should therefore offer better value.
Citi Prestige benefits
This latest perk for Citi Prestige cardholders is in addition to a range of other benefits you may find useful with this card, including:

- Up to 8 complimentary airport limo rides per year when you spend
- 4th night free for hotel stays booked through the Citi Concierge
- Non-expiring points that transfer into 10 frequent flyer programmes
The card also currently has a generous 71,000 miles sign-up bonus, paid as 177,500 Citi ThankYou points, with a minimum spend of $2,000 ($1,000 in local currency and $1,000 in foreign currency) from the card approval date until the end of the second full calendar month.

Summary
Citi Prestige cardholders can get a 12-month Prestige membership in the Sands LifeStyle programme when they simply present their credit card at one of the counters in Marina Bay Sands between now and 30th November 2023, extendable by a further 12 months with S$5,000 accumulated spend in the first year.
Those doing so between December 2023 and April 2024 will get a shorter 3-month Prestige membership, extendable to 12 months with S$1,500 accumulated spend in the first 3 months.
While the benefits of this membership tier aren’t life-changing, there are some potentially useful perks if you regularly shop or dine at the MBS complex, or want to visit some of the attractions there.
