It’s been a variable year for the opening hours of Qatar Airways’ excellent Singapore Premium Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 1, but there’s finally some good news to report once again, especially for those on early morning oneworld departures.
From 25th October 2026, the start of the northern winter (NW26/27) schedule season, the carrier’s morning departure from Changi, QR943 to Doha, returns to daily operation.
The lounge only opens in the morning when QR943 operates, so after running four days a week since September, the breakfast session is now back every day too.
Here’s how the lounge’s hours have changed so far in 2026:
- February: The afternoon reopening was brought forward to 4.15pm, alongside a daily morning session, giving the longest hours we’d ever seen for this facility.
- April: The morning session was axed entirely. A temporary 5pm – 2am window replaced it, as the Iran conflict cut Qatar Airways’ Singapore schedule from 21 to 11 weekly departures.
- Mid-May: Hours were cut even further, to a single 8pm – 1.30am window each day.
- Mid-June: The evening session was restored to a much longer 4.40pm – 3.15am, and a 7.20am – 10.20am morning session returned on Fridays and Sundays only, as QR943 resumed as a morning flight on those two days.
- September: Mornings were extended to four days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays), with the 4.40pm – 3.15am evening session continuing daily.
- From 25th October: Morning opening is back every day, in addition to the afternoon / evening session.
Morning opening every day
Here are the new opening hours for the Qatar Singapore Premium Lounge, effective from 25th October 2026.

16:40 – 03:15 (Daily) |
17:15 – 03:15 (Daily) |
The morning session moves five minutes earlier to 7.15am – 10.15am, reflecting QR943’s slightly earlier 10.15am departure this season (previously 10.20am), with the lounge closing at departure time as usual.
The lounge now reopens at 5.15pm in the afternoon, 35 minutes later than the 4.40pm we’ve had since mid-June. That follows QR947 moving back from 7.40pm to 8.15pm. Closing time is unchanged at 3.15am, coinciding with the QR945 departure time.
As before, lounge opening is extended if a Qatar Airways departure is delayed.
Not just for Qatar Airways passengers
The big benefit here is for those flying Business Class with other oneworld carriers in the morning.
Until 24th October 2026, anyone departing on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday morning with Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JAL or SriLankan Airlines missed out on the Qatar lounge’s à la carte breakfast and champagne, because there was no QR943 for it to open for. That is now fixed, with the lounge a seven-day option once more.
The Qantas Singapore Business Lounge has also changed its hours for the NW26/27 season, but in this case morning opening windows have been cut back.

From 25 Oct 2026 |

| Tuesday | 7.50am – 10.15am 2pm – 12.15am |

2.30pm – 1am |
| Thursday | 11am – 12.15am | 10.40am – 1am |

8am – 10am 2.30pm – 1am |
| Saturday | 2pm – 12.15am | 2.30pm – 1am |
| Sunday | 3.20am – 10.15am 2pm – 12.15am |
8am – 10am 2.30pm – 1am |
Its morning session is now just 8am – 10am on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with no opening before 10.40am on the other four days. That means on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the Qatar lounge is the only one of these two open before 10.15am, while on the other days it opens 45 minutes earlier and stays open 15 minutes later.
In any event, we know which one we’d pick for breakfast, and that’s Qatar!
Access policy
Qatar Airways applies fairly strict access policies for its own lounges, with the Singapore one being no exception.
One of the easiest ways to get in to a oneworld Business Class lounge for many of our readers is through the alliance’s Sapphire or Emerald status, but that’s no good to you at the Qatar Airways Singapore Premium Lounge, which restricts access only to those flying on Qatar Airways or a oneworld carrier in First or Business Class.

Lounge-eligible frequent flyers in lower cabins are instead directed to the SATS Premier Lounge – decent but nothing to write home about!
This lounge is available to passengers flying on a Qatar Airways or any oneworld member operated flight:
- in First Class or in Business Class*.
- in any class of travel provided they are connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, having arrived in First Class or Business Class with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours (e.g. Qantas Business Class SYD-SIN followed by SriLankan Economy Class SIN-CMB, access is permitted). You are required to retain your boarding card from the arriving long-haul flight for lounge access in this case.
* Except for Qatar Airways’ Business Class Lite Fare (Booking Class ‘P’), which does not benefit from lounge access
Note that Qatar Airways does not include lounge access to those upgrading their Economy tickets to Business Class using Avios points. The policy also applies to this lounge in Singapore.
However, full award redemptions in Business Class using Avios, or via other frequent flyer programmes like Asia Miles, are eligible.

Guest policy
Passengers travelling in oneworld First Class, for example on a British Airways or Qantas operated flight, may invite one guest into the lounge with them.
The guest must be travelling on a oneworld operated flight in this case, though it does not need to be the same flight as the lead passenger (for example, your guest can be flying Malaysia Airlines Economy Class to Kuala Lumpur).
Those accessing this lounge based on travel in Business Class are not permitted to bring any guests into the lounge with them.
Which flights now benefit?
Here’s a list of the flights whose First and Business Class passengers can be accommodated in the Qatar lounge during its morning opening from 7.15am to 10.15am, now every day of the week, including early check-in options.

The morning opening is particularly useful for those departing on Malaysia Airlines’ 9.55am and 11.15am departures to Kuala Lumpur. You can redeem these in Business Class for 12,500 Avios, 15,000 Flying Blue miles or 22,000 KrisFlyer miles, now with a seven-day option for a champagne breakfast beforehand.

From around 7pm onwards there’s a solid bank of oneworld departures to Australia, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London, Tokyo and Helsinki to take advantage of. Most have a Jewel Early Check-In option too.

Cathay, Malaysia Airlines and SriLankan
In the case of these three airlines, flight departure is not from Terminal 1 at Changi, where the Qatar lounge is located, so you’ll need to allow some extra time to reach your gate.
Malaysia Airlines
Malaysia Airlines operates from Terminal 2, so you need to build in around 20 minutes of extra journey time from the Qatar lounge to walk across to the T1 > T2 SkyTrain (near Gate D40) and head to that terminal, over and above your usual lounge departure time.
That said, it’s a far better experience you’ll be getting at the Qatar lounge compared to the SATS lounge in T2, where Malaysia Airlines currently directs its Business Class passengers, so this is likely worth it, in our opinion.
Cathay Pacific
Cathay Pacific operates from Terminal 4, meaning a relatively lengthy 19-minute bus transfer from Gate C21 prior to departure time, with services departing every 8 minutes – but handily, Gate C21 is right below the Qatar lounge.
We recommend allowing an additional 40 minutes over and above your usual lounge departure time for Cathay.
With no early check-in for the CX658 morning departure, you’ll need to check in at T4 and then travel to T1, so the benefit is limited for that flight. Cathay’s evening flights do have Jewel Early Check-In.
SriLankan Airlines
SriLankan Airlines operates from Terminal 3, so you need to build in around 10 minutes of extra journey time from the Qatar lounge to take the T1 > T3 SkyTrain (which departs from right below the Qatar lounge) and head to that terminal.
If your SriLankan flight is departing from a high ‘B’ gate, it’s actually a short walk from the Qatar lounge, with no SkyTrain journey even needed, but for a high ‘A’ gate there may even be two SkyTrain journeys involved, so bear that in mind.
As with Malaysia Airlines though, it’s a far better experience you’ll be getting at the Qatar lounge compared to the Marhaba lounge in T3, where SriLankan currently directs its Business Class passengers.
Location
The Qatar Airways Singapore Premium Lounge is located on Level 3 of Changi Terminal 1’s transit area, one level above the departure concourse.
After clearing the T1 immigration desks, make a left turn towards the C gates, then walk all the way to the end of the concourse to the second escalator, directly in front of you adjacent to gate C1 up to the lounges.

Note that this is not the first escalator as you head towards the C gates marked ‘Lounges’, which in fact leads you up to the BA, Qantas Business and SATS facilities. You have to continue all the way to the end of the concourse, where the C gates themselves begin, to locate this lounge.
Latest menu
Here’s the latest à la carte menu, covering both breakfast and lunch / dinner.
Pictured below are the poached eggs on English muffin with bacon served when I last visited the lounge during its breakfast operating hours.

The drinks selection includes both a Brut and Rosé champagne, plus six different wines, in addition to bespoke cocktails from the martini bar.
Our review
We thoroughly reviewed this lounge in its first week of opening back in 2020, experiencing both the morning breakfast service and an evening visit on the same day.
The elegant facility seats only 85 customers across a 700 square metre space, which compares extremely favourably to other oneworld options at Changi Airport, as outlined below.
oneworld Lounges at Changi Airport
Capacity and Floorspace
| Lounge | Size (sq m) |
Capacity (pax) |
| Qatar Airways | ~ 700 | 85 |
| Cathay Pacific | 849 | ~ 200 |
| British Airways | 1,005 | 226 |
| Qantas First | ~ 1,000 | 240 |
| Qantas Business | ~ 2,200 | 570 |
Even at full capacity, the Qatar Premium Lounge offers an exceptional amount of space per guest, more akin to SIA’s The Private Room (78 pax, 950 sq m).

Overall our thoughts on the Qatar Singapore Premium Lounge were:
- An elegant, luxury finish
- Professional and personable service
- Fantastic à la carte dining and a tended martini bar
- Private shower suites with high-end Diptyque toiletries

All Qsuite, all Starlink
For those flying Qatar Airways itself, every Singapore departure is now planned with the Qsuite and Starlink Wi-Fi.
Until 9th December 2026, QR947 operates with the Boeing 777-300ER, with only Qsuite-equipped examples of the type planned. From 10th December, all three daily services switch to a mix of the Airbus A350-1000 and A350-900, with the Qsuite installed on every aircraft scheduled.

(Photo: Shutterstock)
That’s the plan right through to the end of the published schedule in mid-October 2027. There’s no sign of the Airbus A380 returning either, having operated QR947 on some days in February.
Last-minute swaps mean the Qsuite is never 100% guaranteed on the A350-900 and 777-300ER, but the odds are firmly in your favour on the carrier’s Singapore flights.
Summary
The Qatar Airways Singapore Premium Lounge is one of the best Business Class lounges out there, and it certainly takes that accolade at Changi Airport, with its martini bar, à la carte dining, and First-Class-style space and privacy for each guest.
After a turbulent 2026 that saw its hours cut as low as 8pm – 1.30am, the lounge is back to opening every morning from 25th October, at 7.15am – 10.15am, alongside a 5.15pm – 3.15am afternoon and evening session.
That’s good news for anyone departing Singapore in First or Business Class with a oneworld airline, especially Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JAL and SriLankan flyers, who can once again count on a Qatar lounge breakfast whichever day they fly.
Overall there are up to 25 oneworld flights each day, in addition to Qatar’s own departures, where First Class or Business Class passengers can use this lounge before departure. A Jewel Early Check-In option is available for most of them, though in some cases a terminal commute is then needed to reach your gate.

Noticed for QR947, ECI is only available from 12pm at Jewel. If I’m flying QR947, do you know if I can just check in for my flight at the normal Qatar counter at 8am given that QR943 operates daily and the check-in counter should be open? Hoping to go for both the morning and evening Qatar lounge timings before my 8.15pm QR947!
