Kris+ MILEstone Quest: Earn up to 1,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles

Earn up to 1,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles this month by spending S$20 or more at five different Kris+ partners, for 10 mpd on top of usual earning.

Kris+ has brought back its MILEstone Quest challenge for September, offering up to 1,000 bonus miles for spending at multiple partner brands during the month, with no upper participant cap.

That means you can tap the full bonus for a minimum spend of just S$100 across five brands, an effective bonus rate of 10 mpd on top of the underlying merchant earn rate and, as always, your credit card points.

It’s a considerably better return than last month’s Weekly Streaks challenge, which topped out at 3.75 mpd, though the entry bar has been raised since we last saw this particular offer format, because spending at two brands no longer gets you anything at all.

Here’s how it works.

From 10.00am SGT on 1st September 2026 to 11.59pm on 30th September 2026, the Kris+ MILEstone Quest challenge rewards you with bonus miles based on the number of unique partner brands you spend at during the month.

You’ll need to spend a minimum of S$20 in a single transaction at each brand for it to count, and every Kris+ partner in Singapore is eligible this time round, with no excluded merchants. KrisShop and Pelago are both named in the T&Cs as counting in their own right.

Kris+ MILEstone Quest  Reward Tiers
Unique brands visited Bonus miles
1 – 2 brands –
3 brands 300
4 brands 500
5 brands or more 1,000

The brands you visit need to be unique, so additional outlets under the same brand won’t tick off a second visit. They don’t have to be brands you’ve never used Kris+ at before, though.

If you grab breakfast at Paris Baguette on your way to work most mornings, for example, a S$20+ transaction there counts as one of your five, even though you’re a regular.

For the avoidance of doubt, these bonus miles aren’t cumulative. Only the total number of unique brands you tick off during the month determines your reward, so five brands earns 1,000 bonus miles in total, not 1,000 + 500 + 300.

There’s also no point visiting six or seven brands hoping for more miles. The 1,000 miles at five brands is the ceiling.

  • Open the Kris+ app and start the MILEstone Quest challenge
  • Spend at least S$20 in a single transaction at each unique partner brand in Singapore
  • Repeat at a total of five different brands by 30th September 2026 to unlock the full 1,000 bonus miles

As with August’s Weekly Streaks challenge, the T&Cs confirm that all qualifying transactions made during the promotional period count towards your total, provided you tap “Start” on the challenge at some point before 2359 hrs on 30th September 2026.

That’s a change from the 2024 edition of MILEstone Quest, which only counted spend made after you enrolled. We’d still recommend starting the challenge first though, it’s free and takes seconds, so there’s no reason not to.

One important restriction that wasn’t present in August’s challenge is that qualifying payments must be made via credit or debit card through Apple Pay or Google Pay in the Kris+ app.

Paying with your KrisPay miles balance, or a combination of miles and card, therefore won’t count towards this promotion.

That’s no bad thing for most readers, since paying by card is what you should be doing anyway to stack your credit card points on top, but it’s worth knowing if you’re looking to clear a KrisPay balance that’s stuck in the app.

The easiest way to achieve this bonus without leaving home is to buy in-app vouchers, which have counted as qualifying transactions in previous Kris+ challenges of this type.

Five S$20+ voucher purchases at five different brands would be enough to unlock the full 1,000 bonus miles.

Just be sure to actually use the vouchers before they expire, which varies by partner, and note that while the T&Cs don’t mention vouchers specifically, they define a qualifying transaction simply as a payment of at least S$20 completed in the Kris+ app at a partner, which a voucher purchase meets.

The minimum spend to unlock the full 1,000 bonus miles is S$100, five brands at S$20 apiece, which works out at an effective bonus rate of 10 mpd.

MILEstone Quest  Effective Bonus Rate
Brands Min. spend Effective bonus
3 brands S$60 5 mpd
4 brands S$80 6.25 mpd
5 brands S$100 10 mpd

At a valuation of 1.5 – 1.8 cents per KrisFlyer mile, the full 1,000 bonus miles are worth roughly S$15 – S$18.

Note how steeply the reward scales. Going from four brands to five costs you an extra S$20 but doubles your bonus from 500 to 1,000 miles, so that fifth transaction alone is effectively earning 25 mpd. If you’ve made it to four, finishing the job is close to a no-brainer.

The three-brand tier at 5 mpd is still respectable in isolation, but stopping there leaves a lot of miles on the table.

Here’s how this September’s deal stacks up against the two most recent outings for this format.

While the S$5 minimum from 2024 produced a flattering effective rate, the absolute bonus on offer was half what it is now. March 2025’s Shopping Spree, restricted to 30 retail brands and demanding S$50 a time, was the weakest of the three.

This one sits nicely in between, a low enough transaction minimum to be achievable on ordinary dining or shopping spend, with the full Kris+ merchant list to choose from.

These bonus miles are on top of the existing Kris+ partner earn rates and whatever your credit card earns on the underlying transaction.

Kris+ now advertises “up to 6 miles per S$1 spend” as its top rate, though three merchants do still quietly offer 9 mpd. Add up to 4 mpd from the right credit card and the 10 mpd from this promotion, and the theoretical maximum is 23 mpd.

  • Spend at any Kris+ partner in Singapore counts, with 622 brands on the list as of our most recent tally
  • Minimum S$20 in a single transaction at each brand, this is not a cumulative figure
  • Payment must be made by credit or debit card via Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • Additional outlets of the same brand don’t count as a new brand
  • Transactions refunded, reversed or voided before the promotion ends won’t count, and Kris+ can claw back miles for refunds processed afterwards, even if the app’s progress tracker showed the challenge as complete
  • Rewards are based on your total number of unique brands only and are not stackable across tiers
  • Maximum reward is 1,000 bonus miles per participant
  • Bonus miles will be credited to your Kris+ wallet within 14 days after the campaign ends (i.e. by 14th October 2026) and can be transferred to your KrisFlyer account as usual, within 21 days of credit

You can check out the full terms and conditions on the Kris+ app.

You will also accrue points or miles on your credit card for the spend made for Kris+ payment transactions, in some cases adding up to 4 mpd to the maximum 9 mpd Kris+ offers at its merchants, for up to 13 mpd total earning, before these bonus miles are accounted for.

This depends on the credit card you hold and the merchant category (MCC code) of the retailer.

The following cards will earn at their bonus rates of between 3 mpd and 4 mpd for spend in the specific MCCs listed. You can check the MCC with the merchant in advance of your payment if you are unsure, though some are obvious (like restaurants – 5812).

3 mpd On all Kris+ spend, with no minimum and no upper cap.

Don’t use your Citi Rewards card to make payment with Apple Pay or Google Pay on Kris+, since online transactions using this card specifically exclude mobile wallet payments and will therefore earn at the basic rate of 0.4 mpd.

Don’t forget – transfer straight to KrisFlyer miles

Any miles you earn through Kris+, including the bonus miles from this promotion, land in your Kris+ wallet first and must be transferred to KrisFlyer within 21 days of crediting. Miss that window and they’re stuck, expiring six months after they’re earned and spendable only at a poor rate of 100 KrisPay miles to S$1.

One catch worth knowing is that each transaction’s miles can only be moved in their entirety. Spend any part of a balance and you can’t transfer the rest.

The simplest fix is to turn on auto-transfer under Wallet > Transfer to KrisFlyer, which handles it for you on every future transaction.

Summary

The September MILEstone Quest is the most generous version of this challenge Kris+ has run, with 1,000 bonus miles available for a minimum of S$100 spread across five different partner brands.

At an effective 10 mpd before merchant earn rates and credit card points are accounted for, it comfortably beats August’s Weekly Streaks challenge, and the whole of the 622-strong Kris+ merchant list is in play.

Remember you need five different brands at S$20 or more each in a single transaction apiece, paid by card rather than with your KrisPay balance. Four brands halves your reward and two brands gets you nothing at all, so it’s worth planning where those five transactions are going before the end of the month.

As always, don’t forget to pair your spend with the right card to maximise your total miles earning.
