Pelago, Singapore Airlines’ own Klook-style “destination discovery platform”, has been around since late 2020, offering activities, experiences and attraction tickets in Singapore and overseas destinations like Bangkok, Sydney, Phuket and London.
Activities and experiences available include theme park admission, food and drink tours, wellness treatments and museum tickets, with over 200,000 attractions, tours and transportation options now listed worldwide, ranging from a few dollars to several thousand dollars, including over 470 here in Singapore itself.
The key draw is earning miles for Pelago bookings, usually at a rate of 3 mpd, but currently hiked to 7 mpd when you lock in your activity or experience via the Kris+ app, between now and the end of September 2026, with no upper earning cap in play.
Nonetheless, there’s also the option to redeem your miles via the platform too.
Redeeming with Pelago is usually poor value… but
As usual with these ‘cash out’ options for your KrisFlyer miles, “earn but don’t burn” has always been our advice – since Pelago only usually offers S$1 off your experience bookings per 100 KrisFlyer miles redeemed year-round (1 cent per mile value).
Pelago has brought back its 20% redemption discount, meaning only 80 KrisFlyer miles will get you S$1 off an experience booking (1.25 cents per mile value), for bookings made between now and 30th September 2026.
Pelago has run this deal several times over the years, including in September 2025, and it matches the best redemption rate the platform has offered – aided by the fact that the base redemption value on Pelago activities improved by 50% back in July 2025, when KrisFlyer standardised its group “cash out” miles redemption value, from 0.67 cents per mile to 1 cent per mile.
That means a 20% discount these days generates a more competitive value per mile than even larger percentage discounts in the past have achieved.

A good option for expiring miles?
Following several years of reprieve during the COVID-19 pandemic, KrisFlyer miles started expiring again in July 2023, with monthly batches dropping out of affected accounts then and at the end of each subsequent month after that, including of course on 30th September 2026.
That means in the worst case some members will be waving goodbye to miles, or trying to cash them out at relatively poor value, in the very near future.
Assuming the best use of miles – a flight redemption with Singapore Airlines, Scoot or a partner airline – isn’t one of your options, our full list starts to look a little sad value-wise.

Where necessary in this table, a miles redemption value for a Singapore Airlines flight is assumed at 1.9 cents. You may have to adjust the value per mile for some of these options, if your own valuation is different.
A Pelago booking is currently one of the better “cash out” options between now and 30th September 2026, and with a wide range of experiences on offer both in Singapore and around the world there might just be a good activity to use any expiring miles on by booking before they expire, even for a future-dated event.
However, as you can see from the table, KrisFlyer is also offering several other bonus miles promotions this month as part of its “Miles Paradise” deal.
The closest rival is KrisShop, which is offering the same 1.25 cents per mile this month, but with the added flexibility of part miles / part cash payment. None of the transfer bonuses get close, including the 50% Accor offer, which yields just under 1 cent per mile.
If you can stretch to a flight, there’s also a KrisFlyer redemption sale running until 20th September 2026, with 15% off selected Singapore Airlines Economy and Premium Economy Saver awards and 10% off selected Scoot Economy Saver awards, for travel between 1st November 2026 and 31st May 2027.
Spontaneous Escapes, with 30% off selected October 2026 flights, also lands as usual on 15th September.
How it works
Unfortunately Pelago only allows full redemption for an activity or experience using KrisFlyer miles, unlike options such as KrisShop and vRooms which allow you to mix-and-match miles and cash, better optimising a redemption that uses up only your expiring miles.
With Pelago, you’ll therefore ideally want to be redeeming for an experience priced such that it uses up only expiring miles, or at least doesn’t stretch too far into your non-expiring balance.
For example, if you have 7,400 expiring KrisFlyer miles you could redeem this indoor skydiving experience in Singapore at iFly Sentosa.
As you can see the usual cost of S$89 is waived if you use 7,120 KrisFlyer miles instead (1.25 cents per mile). Only 280 of your non-expiring miles will be “wasted” with this redemption, which probably isn’t a dealbreaker.
Even if you’re logged on to your Pelago account, you’ll still be asked for your KrisFlyer account login details to complete the redemption.
You can redeem miles for a future-dated activity, provided you actually book before the miles expire. As always, KrisFlyer miles expiring first will automatically be redeemed first.
Things to note
Other points to note when redeeming miles with Pelago:
- KrisFlyer redemption on Pelago is subject to a minimum spend of 1,000 miles, which would normally offset a S$10 transaction year-round, but during this promotion will offset a S$12.50 transaction. Activities cheaper than this don’t offer the KrisFlyer miles redemption option.
- Pelago bookings must be made under your name, or the name of one of your redemption nominees, to redeem miles.
- This promotion excludes Disney Cruise bookings, KrisFlyer Experiences products, and any product that only offers a partial refund on cancellation. Partial refunds on miles bookings are issued as a Pelago promo code (valid three years), rather than miles.
- If you redeem via Pelago in the Kris+ app, you won’t see the discount at checkout. Instead you’ll pay at the usual rate of 100 miles per S$1, then get 20% of those miles back as KrisPay miles, which are worth 1 cent each when spent at Kris+ merchants. That works out to an effective 1.20 cents per mile, so stick to Pelago.com or the Pelago app for redemptions.
- If you cancel your unused Pelago experience booking made by redeeming from KrisFlyer, your miles will be refunded back into your account within two weeks, but there is no cash refund alternative.
Do note that even though you can cancel your Pelago experience booking and have the KrisFlyer miles redeemed refunded to your account within two weeks of cancellation, this does not circumvent the expiry issue.
In this case, the miles will be returned to your account with the same expiry date they had when redeemed. If any of them would have expired already when the refund is processed, those miles will not be refunded.
Don’t forget – use Kris+ to book when earning miles
As we mentioned earlier, it’s actually earning miles from your Pelago bookings that makes the most sense, and currently that means netting up to 7 mpd plus potentially another 4 mpd from your credit card when you do so through the Kris+ app.
Do note these miles are no longer credited instantly – KrisPay miles for Pelago bookings via Kris+ now land one day after your activity has been completed, after which they can be transferred into your KrisFlyer account at a 1:1 ratio.

Summary
Pelago has brought back its 20% discount for redeeming KrisFlyer miles on its 200,000+ activities, from now until 30th September 2026, so provided you book before then you’ll be able to cash out KrisFlyer miles at 1.25 cents each – matching the best rate the site has offered.
That said, KrisShop is offering the same rate this month with the flexibility of part miles payment, which makes it easier to use only your expiring miles. Just remember to redeem directly on Pelago rather than via Kris+, where the discount comes back as less flexible KrisPay miles instead of being taken off the miles required upfront.
It’s also not a great rate compared to most flight redemptions, which usually offer 1.9+ cents per mile when you redeem sensibly – and with a KrisFlyer redemption sale running until 20th September, this one is probably a miss for most of our readers unless expiry is looming.
As always, try to lock in a flight redemption with your expiring miles if you can – it’s almost always the best value you’ll get.
