KrisShop, SIA’s “omnichannel” retailer, has launched a 10.10 bonus offer including a variety of deals for purchases made between now and 18th October 2022, but also including a KrisFlyer miles earning boost of between 1.5 mpd and 2 mpd on existing rates.
This deal means earning at least 3 mpd (+ 1.5 mpd) for KrisShop purchases as a non-member directly at KrisShop.com, right through to 10.5 mpd (+ 2 mpd) as an Ambassador member making your purchases through the Kris+ app.
Combined with a 4 mpd credit card option for KrisShop purchases, this has the potential to net you up to 14.5 mpd in total on KrisShop transactions made between now and 18th October 2022, including on brand new iPhone 14 purchases.

Since KrisShop.com supports international delivery and in-flight delivery (unlike KrisShop via Kris+), this bonus is a nice opportunity for our international readers to earn additional bonus miles over the next 10 days.

Many of our readers already matched into the Icon or Ambassador tiers of the KrisShopper programme, so overall earn rates of 6 mpd / 7 mpd (KrisShop direct) or 9.5 mpd / 10.5 mpd (KrisShop via Kris+) are now achievable for many of you during this promotion.
Do be aware that for both KrisShop.com (direct) and KrisShop via Kris+ purchases, the 1.5 mpd or 2 mpd 10.10 bonus miles will be credited directly to your KrisFlyer account within 8 weeks of the end of the promotion period (i.e. by 13th December 2022).
That means you won’t see the 10.10 bonus miles reflected when making KrisShop purchases via the Kris+ app, since those displayed at the payment stage are the KrisPay miles you’ll receive instantly for the purchase (which you can and should then transfer straight into your KrisFlyer account).
The 10.10 bonus miles will unfortunately follow later, as a direct KrisFlyer account credit.

Use the right credit card for up to 14.5 mpd
KrisShop purchases made via the Kris+ app will code under MCC 5309: Duty Free Stores, and that means you can tap into some 4 mpd earn rates with a variety of credit cards, subject to their monthly requirements and spending caps.

Note that the Citi Rewards card should not be used to make in-app payments on Kris+, since mobile wallet payments are specifically excluded from bonus miles earning, regardless of the merchant MCC.
However, using the Citi Rewards card directly at KrisShop.com will attract the 4 mpd bonus rate.

Let’s say you want to order a new iPhone 14 Pro 256GB (S$1,700 + GST) via the KrisShop during this promotion, as an Ambassador status holder.
Here’s what you’ll earn using a DBS WWMC card (assuming sufficient monthly 4 mpd cap remaining) at both KrisShop directly and through Kris+ during this 10.10 promotion.

These are both impressive earn rates, right up to an effective 13.8 mpd via Kris+, with 25,126 miles worth over S$450 ‘value back’ in KrisFlyer miles against a future redemption.
It’s more than enough, for example, to redeem a Business Class saver award ticket from Singapore to Bali (21,000 miles needed).
Note: Total earning will never quite hit 14.5 mpd (10.5 + 4), because Kris+ is not awarding miles on the 7% GST component for any products purchased.Differences between KrisShop via Kris+ and KrisShop.com
There are some differences to note when shopping on KrisShop via Kris+ compared to buying directly via KrisShop.com, including:
- KrisShop via Kris+ does not offer a full selection of items you’ll find at KrisShop.com, though most products are available through both channels.
- KrisShop via Kris+ delivery is to Singapore addresses only (KrisShop.com supports worldwide and in-flight delivery).
- KrisShop via Kris+ does not yet support the 10% discount for PPS Club members, or PPS Club Gift voucher redemption.
KrisShop vouchers cannot be redeemed on purchases made via Kris+.- KrisShop via Kris+ awards miles instantly (as KrisPay miles, which you can immediately transfer to your KrisFlyer account, but you must do so within seven days). KrisShop.com awards miles directly to your KrisFlyer account within 5 business days (though in reality, it usually only takes 24 hours).
Since the 6th September 2022 update of the Kris+ app, you can now apply KrisShop voucher codes or promo codes via the app, which was not previously possible.
Summary
KrisShop’s 10.10 promotion includes additional KrisFlyer miles for all customers, on top of current earn rates based on your KrisShopper tier, either when purchasing directly at KrisShop.com or via the Kris+ app.
That means, at the top end, you can net 10.5 mpd as an Ambassador status holder making KrisShop purchases via Kris+, with a further 4 mpd when paying using the right credit card, for up to 14.5 mpd total earning.
Do be aware that the bonus 1.5 mpd or 2 mpd as part of the KrisShop 10.10 promotion won’t reflect in your Kris+ app nor be immediately credited through either portal, but instead will land directly into your KrisFlyer account as a separate credit by mid-December.
