Last week we wrote about the latest Kris+ dining promotion in Singapore, with an additional 500 miles on offer per restaurant at a list of over 50 options island-wide, in addition to the miles or points you’ll earn using your credit card for the payment itself, when spending S$250 or more.
Kris+ expanded to Australia in November 2023, and there’s good news for travellers or those based ‘down under’, with a bonus miles promotion running until 12th February 2025. However, instead of earning an extra 500 miles per restaurant, the app is offering double miles accrual rates at 48 participating partners with no minimum spend required.
That means if you’re based in Sydney or Melbourne, or your travels take you there during the next few weeks including over the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday period, you should definitely consider checking which merchants are on the list for additional miles earning.
Double Miles Double Prosperity
Between 2nd January 2025 at 12pm Australia Eastern Time and 12th February 2025 at 11.59pm Australia Eastern Time, Kris+ is offering double miles when you dine at 48 Asian partner restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne.

Miles will be instantly credited at the double earn rate when you make payment via Apple Pay or Google Pay through the Kris+ app, with no minimum spend.
Kris+ partners in Australia award either 1 mpd, 2 mpd or 3 mpd as their year-round accrual rates, so those are doubled to 2 mpd, 4 mpd and 6 mpd respectively during this promotion, for those participating.
Keep in mind that earn rates in Australia are calculated based on Australian Dollar (AUD) spend. Thanks to the favourable exchange rate, these rates effectively become approximately 17% higher when converted to Singapore Dollars – for instance, 6 mpd in AUD equates to around 7 mpd in SGD terms.
Participating restaurants: Sydney
A total of 21 merchants, with 30 outlets between them city-wide, are participating in this latest ‘Double Miles Double Prosperity’ deal for dining in Sydney anytime between 2nd January 2025 and 12th February 2025.

Which card to use
Kris+ earn partners in Australia accept in-app payment via Apple Pay or Google Pay using Visa or Mastercard (but not American Express cards, which are only accepted via Kris+ in Singapore).
As you probably already know, with Kris+ you’ll earn KrisPay miles for your transaction (which you then can and should convert into KrisFlyer miles), on top of the usual points you’ll get when using your best credit card to make in-app payment.
Australian credit cards have rather lacklustre earn rates, but if you’re visiting Sydney or Melbourne here’s a list of Singapore-issued cards that should give you the best earn rate for Kris+ transactions at these merchants during the promotion (Australia Kris+ spend codes as online and FCY).
The following cards will earn at their bonus rate of between 3 mpd and 4 mpd, either for all Kris+ spend in Australia, or for merchants in the specific dining MCCs listed.

Don’t use your Citi Rewards card to make payment with Apple Pay or Google Pay on Kris+, since online transactions using this card specifically exclude mobile wallet payments and will therefore earn at the basic rate of 0.4 mpd.
Don’t forget to transfer straight to KrisFlyer miles
KrisPay miles earned through Kris+ can only be transferred to your KrisFlyer account within 21 days of the transaction. To do so, simply tap on the “Transfer to KrisFlyer” button which will appear on the miles earned confirmation screen or transaction details screen.

You can do so later (within 21 days), but why wait?
Remember that KrisPay miles earned per transaction can only be transferred to your account in their entirety. If you earned 100 KrisPay miles from a single Kris+ transaction, for example, the full 100 KrisPay miles must be transferred to your KrisFlyer account. If you have already spent some of your KrisPay miles earned, a partial transfer option is not available.
We therefore recommend transferring to KrisFlyer immediately following any Kris+ earning transaction, in case you either forget or make a mistake later.
Summary
The Singapore Airlines Kris+ app is offering double miles earning at 48 partner restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne from 2nd January 2025 to 12th February 2025. Participating establishments now have their usual earn rates of 1, 2, or 3 mpd doubled to 2, 4, or 6 mpd during this promotion, with no minimum spend required.
Eligible payments must be made via Apple Pay or Google Pay within the Kris+ app, using Visa or Mastercard.
Some Singapore-issued cards, such as the HSBC Revolution and DBS WWMC, can also allow you to maximise additional bonus rates on top of the Kris+ miles earned – for a total haul of up to 10 mpd (6 mpd via the app + 4 mpd via your credit card).
Remember to transfer KrisPay miles to your KrisFlyer account immediately – or at least within 21 days – to avoid losing them.
