KrisFlyer offering 10% bonus on Marriott Bonvoy transfers

Back in March, we reported that Singapore Airlines was boosting its KrisFlyer to Marriott Bonvoy transfer ratio by 50% on a year-round basis. That change took effect from 1st April 2026 and moved the ratio from a lousy 2:1 to a slightly less lousy 4:3.

Now there’s a temporary transfer promotion on top of the latest permanent hike.

Until 30th September 2026, KrisFlyer members converting miles into Bonvoy points will get 10% more points than usual. It’s part of SIA’s ongoing “Miles Paradise” campaign, which has already brought us discounted redemptions on Pelago and KrisShop, plus boosted transfers to Accor and Shangri-La.

The question, as always, is whether it’s actually worth doing.

The offer

For conversions made between 8th September 2026 and 30th September 2026, you’ll receive a 10% bonus on the regular Bonvoy points generated by your transfer.

The usual transfer rules still apply:

• The minimum conversion is 3,000 KrisFlyer miles, with single-mile increments above that.
• The annual cap is 250,000 miles per calendar year. Anything you’ve already converted since 1st January 2026 counts towards it, so the most you could pick up during this promotion is 206,250 Bonvoy points.
• Bonus points normally post within 24 hours. They may show up as a separate transaction from your base points.
• Conversions can’t be reversed once submitted.

Note that you can’t convert your miles into Bonvoy points on behalf of someone else, so you can’t use this to top up a partner’s or family member’s Bonvoy account. The names on your KrisFlyer and Bonvoy accounts also need to match for the transfer to go through.

The bonus is also one-way only. Transfers from Bonvoy to KrisFlyer stay at the longstanding 3:1 ratio, with 5,000 bonus miles for every 60,000 points converted.

Is it worth it?

For most members, no.

With the bonus, each KrisFlyer mile you convert becomes 0.825 Bonvoy points.

As we noted in March and when the partnership first became two-way, the general consensus values a Bonvoy point at around 0.9 to 1.0 Singapore cents, since Marriott moved to dynamic award pricing in 2022.

That means you’re cashing out your miles at around 0.74 to 0.83 cents each. That’s better than the 0.75 cents available year-round, but not by much.

It’s also well short of what several other transfer promotions are offering this month.

Where necessary in this table, a miles redemption value for a Singapore Airlines flight is assumed at 1.9 cents. You may have to adjust the value per mile for some of these options, if your own valuation is different.

The Bonvoy transfer sits in the bottom half of the table. It’s beaten by the easy “cash-out” options this month – KrisShop and Pelago at 1.25 cents, and Kris+ at 1.10 cents. It’s even behind the latest boosted Accor and Shangri-La transfer deals.

What would your Bonvoy points need to be worth?

There’s another way to look at this. A Bonvoy transfer only makes sense if you’ll get more out of those points than the “basic” valuation. So here’s what each Bonvoy point would need to be worth for the transfer to beat the alternatives this month.

In other words, you’d need to extract roughly 1.5 Singapore cents per point from your Bonvoy redemption just to match what KrisShop or Pelago are offering right now. That’s 50% or more above the typical Bonvoy value we see.

It isn’t impossible, since some off-peak nights at high-end properties do price well. Marriott’s “stay for five, pay for four” benefit on award stays also stretches your points by 25% on longer trips, so a point normally worth 1 cent effectively becomes worth 1.25 cents.

However, since each KrisFlyer mile only converts into 0.825 Bonvoy points, that still works out to just 1.03 cents per mile transferred. It’s respectable, but far from amazing.

Here’s a high-end example where your points are scoring you 2.08 US cents (around 2.7 Singapore cents) each, on a five-night stay at The Westin Bora Bora, after netting off the US$115 daily destination fee that still applies to award stays. The points price already reflects the fifth night free.

That works out to around 2.2 Singapore cents per KrisFlyer mile transferred, which clears even our flight redemption valuation.

More often, though, it goes the other way.

This two-night weekend stay at the JW Marriott Singapore will set you back 143,000 Bonvoy Points, saving S$1,227, a value of just 0.86 Singapore cents per point. That’s only around 0.71 cents per KrisFlyer mile transferred, even worse than the 0.75 cents we estimate to be available year-round.

Marriott’s dynamic pricing means the value you get can swing a long way from one property and date to the next.

Only consider this transfer offer if you have a specific Bonvoy redemption in mind, you’ve checked the points price against the flexible cash rate, and the numbers clear your personal valuation levels.

Don’t transfer speculatively – even if your miles are expiring there are better ways.

How to transfer

To transfer your KrisFlyer miles to Marriott Bonvoy points, log on via the desktop site, then go to Profile > Partner Programmes.

You don’t need to link your KrisFlyer and Marriott Bonvoy accounts before making a transfer.

Click ‘Convert your miles‘, then scroll down to ‘Other redemption options‘ and click the Marriott Bonvoy link.

Then complete the conversion form, including your Marriott Bonvoy account number.

Your base points and the 10% bonus should land in your Bonvoy account within 24 hours, possibly as two separate transactions.

KrisFlyer’s 10% bonus on Marriott Bonvoy transfers runs until 30th September 2026. Combined with April’s permanent 50% ratio improvement, it lifts the conversion to 3,000 miles for 2,475 points, or around 0.83 cents per mile.

That’s the best KrisFlyer to Bonvoy rate we’ve seen, but it’s still near the bottom of this month’s cash-out options. KrisShop and Pelago both offer 1.25 cents per mile until the end of September, and even Kris+ gets you 1.10 cents with no minimum to speak of.

Unless you have a specific high-value Marriott stay lined up that clears roughly 1.5 Singapore cents per Bonvoy point, give this one a miss.

As always, a flight redemption is almost always the best use of your miles.
