Earlier today we announced the first three destinations which will feature the new Singapore Airlines Boeing 787-10 aircraft, with the latest ‘regional’ business class product installed.
Well there’s no such thing as a slow news day it seems, and the proposed schedule has now been loaded for these services. You’ll find the new aircraft and products on flights to:
- Kuala Lumpur (KUL) from 3rd April 2018
- Bangkok (BKK) from 3rd April 2018
- Osaka (KIX) from 3rd May 2018
While the Bangkok flights will cease once the regular Osaka flight commences, the KL service continues each day in the evening (SQ118/119) for crew training and familiarisation. The same aircraft then operates the overnight Osaka service (SQ618), returning to Singapore mid-morning to land in the afternoon (SQ619).

KrisFlyer redemptions
The good news is, there is plenty of redemption availability in business class on the Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok flights in April.

Osaka flight award availability is a little more constrained as you might expect, with some of the flights unavailable and subject to waitlist, however advantage awards are widely available on the 787-10 flights (even the launch service), and instantly-confirmable saver availability does appear on a few dates we checked in May.
Seat maps
Here is how the business class seat map appears on the Singapore Airlines website:
And here’s the economy class seat map, also showing the designated ‘Forward Zone’ and ‘Extra Legroom’ seats:
Apart from the last two rows on the right hand side in economy (74H/K and 75H/K), it looks like there are no “couple pairs” available, and all other rows are in 3-3-3 configuration.
Future routes
As new aircraft are delivered in the months ahead, several additional destinations are likely to see the 787-10, giving you even more opportunity to try out the new 1-2-1 regional business cabin product. We’ll keep you up to date on which routes you can find this aircraft operating as they’re announced.
