Nagoya gets the New SIA Regional Business Class from 28th July

Third year-round Japanese destination for Singapore's new Dreamliner from next month

Singapore Airlines has updated schedules for their Nagoya flights to reflect equipment swap to the Boeing 787-10 from 28th July 2018, making this the seventh permanent route and third Japanese destination for the new aircraft, now flying to a growing list of destinations with the latest regional business class seats.

This change will also make Nagoya, which is served on a once daily basis by Singapore Airlines, the second route to be exclusively served with the 787-10 after Osaka went double daily with the aircraft in mid-May 2018.

Based on previous comments by Singapore Airlines we also expect the daily Fukuoka flights to be switched to the 787-10 later this year. That would see the new jet flying to all four of SIA’s year-round Japanese cities from Singapore.

The Schedule

The 787-10 will replace the daily A330-300 flight between Singapore and Nagoya from 28th July 2018 with the following timings.

The schedule alters slightly during the northern winter season.

New Regional Business Class

The Singapore Airlines 787-10 is fitted with 36 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration giving all passengers in this cabin direct aisle access, a significant improvement on the older regional business class seats.

We did a full review of the inaugural Boeing 787-10 flight in the new regional business class seat ‘2018 RJ’ in early April, followed the next day by a second flight review focusing on the middle ‘couple’ seats.

Passengers experiencing this product as a replacement of the older ‘2009 RJ’ seat will certainly appreciate the increased privacy, full-flat bed and the latest IFE system fitted to this plane. Indeed we think it would pass as a long-haul business class product on many airlines.

Other 787-10 Routes

The 787-10 is already operating flights between Singapore and Bangkok, Osaka, Perth and Tokyo. There are also flights to Bali and Manila starting on 2nd and 3rd July 2018 respectively and daily Ho Chi Minh services begin on the same date as Nagoya – 28th July 2018.

Our dedicated new regional business class routes tracker page is continuously updated with all the latest 787-10 schedule updates as they are announced.

Flights with the new regional A350, which will be fitted with the same new seats from 2019, will also shown on that page so be sure to bookmark it as your go-to reference for finding flights featuring these new business class seats.
