The Seat
The older Singapore Airlines Regional Business Class seats 2009 RJ are fitted on all A330, 777-200 and 777-300 aircraft. Now the ‘poor cousin’ to the latest 2018 RJ product, these older seats are in a 2-2-2 configuration with little privacy and only convert into 172° bed rather than fully flat.

For a daytime flight these seats remain perfectly suitable, especially if travelling as a couple. However we would avoid this product on longer overnight sectors where possible.

How to know if your flight has 2009 RJ
If you’re travelling in Business Class on an A330, or a 777-200 (non-ER) or a 777-300 (non-ER) your flight will have this seat. Don’t be confused with the 777-200ER, which are fitted with the 2006 J seats in Business Class, or the 777-300ER which are fitted with a mix the 2013 J seats. All of those products have a 1-2-1 layout.
A 2-2-2 layout on the seat map will confirm this 2009 RJ seat is on your flight.
